Josh Taylor returns in May. Against some guy named Ekow Essuman. Can Taylor make another career run? Or is he just a stepping stone level guy now?
Not even the best 140lb guy in the UK. Seems to have "substance" issues but worst of all he's in love with himself and isn't very bright. Don't see any future for him.
I doubt he's gonna be at 140 any longer. This fight is almost certainly at 147. Substance problems for sure though. He's supposedly an alchy and a big party guy. Taylor & Spence, both ruined by the bottle.
He cannot make 140. But my point is he wasn't even the best guy there when he could. Cattrall beat him 2 out of 2 and all Taylor could do sound like a common yob.
You know the sad thing about Taylor? Just like Michael Conlon tonight, he'll come back and get matched safely and they'll start talking shit again about "big fights" in his future. Neither man should be let near a big fight. They're both going to get hurt. Conlon fought a glorified journeyman tonight, went 8 rounds. A former title-contender should never be fighting below 10 rounders .
Ekow Essuman is damn fun to watch and was in 2 FOTY contenders last year. If anything I’m pretty stoked to see Josh Taylor against Essuman. Both have the right style to make this a great fight.
This fight will give us an idea of how past it Josh Taylor is now. Could potentially turn into a two way slugfest but I favor Taylor to win it. If he somehow loses then I think it’s safe to say that he’s finished.
