2 highly technical boxers at 175. Nobody is getting knocked out here but who ends up out boxing the other?

    Probably Bivol here.

It'd be a horrible fight though.

Bivol is not feather-fisted by any stretch.

He might not be feather fisted, but he's no puncher.

You wonder about bivol's weird punch style in terms of generating power.

Bivol isn't feather fisted, but he sure as Hell isn't stopping Pastrano. Pastrano was durable, but he's one of the most underappreciated of the light heavyweight greats. I do think Bivol would edge him, mainly because Bivol has a much better offense, but Pastrano would be very competitive.

Bivol is much much closer to being feather fisted than being a puncher. In fact, I don't really have an issue with calling him featherfisted

He is definitely closer to that end of the puncher scale, but I do think he is one of those guys who "stings" hard enough where opponents are reluctant to just go steaming in with zero respect for the incoming.

Perhaps, but that pretty much goes for everybody half decent boxer. Punches don't have to be concussive, to get respect. Just hurt or put somebody off balance.

If you're not a puncher you definitely need a good gas tank though.

Sting is the perfect word for Bivol imo. He's fast but not destructive, so it's just a little sting or stab of a shot.

Being hit by combinations sucks though, even if they don't hurt. So Bivol's got that going for him.
