Just gave me an idea....imagine if every pro fighter who ever had a lucrative deal was obliged to have, say, 5 fights, equally lucrative, against top contenders, but which he had to take after it was objectively concluded that he was shot. Kind of like what Roy Jones did to himself. You could have Errol Spence going in against Tszyu, then......who knows...Boots, etc.
Well after 2 back to back losses where he was severely cut in one fight and the other being a straight up beat down I think it only makes sense for Tszyu to have a soft touch and confidence booster.
Spencer's Limited and Obviously Brought in to LOSE, But There's a Certain GRIT That Comes w/Boxing Out of the State of Michigan as a WHITE Guy, Which Will Make Spencer a TOUGHER Out Than Tszyu Might Anticipate... Yes, Mono Ramos Kicked Spencer's Ass, But Dude BATTLED Until His Corner Stopped It...And REED Ain't Sure Tszyu's BETTER Than Ramos... REED
Tszyu wins by stoppage. Needed the right opponent to build his confidence back and he got it. Let’s see if he can get himself back into the mix.
Tszyu's combos are a thing of beauty. Don't recall his dad putting them together quite as nicely. Then again, his dad with better power didn't need to.
His dad was better at everything, throwing combos included. Easy to throw nice combos against a total bum like Spencer.
That's what I was thinking. Plus Spencer must be extra bummish for a guy with real current hesitancy issues caused by two damaging losses to be just teeing off like that. He must have known the kid was no threat. Easy to throw hands in those circumstances.
Anyways Tszyu won't be winning serious titles or getting anywhere near elite status. Just a question of how many good marquee fights he can be in between now and the next inevitable highlight reel splattering.
