Don't worry about that. You've got four games left. Go get a match ticket! You can see the champs in their title season. Nobody will care that you saw them after they clinched the trophy.

Do you know how much a ticket to see them at Chelsea would be? Thousands.

Thousands to see them at Anfield Vs Palace, last day of the Season

The other side of town but i was staying in southwark (or Waterloo?) for a couple of nights recently and really loved it. The back streets seemed to get very little traffic but loads of bikes (way more than north of river, or so it felt)- maybe driving is impractical with the narrow streets and all the chaotic t-junctions? Either way, we ended up sitting outside a wee pub called the stage door in a side steeet off waterloo street & it felt proper idylic :emoji_bird: nice part of things

Just curious: Do you any of you Brits follow the ELF? In other words, the American football league in Europe. Didn't even know it existed until recently. DAZN covers the games.

BTW - I know I'm late as Hell, but congrats to LFC winning the league. Well done, lads!

Been so busy with work lately, I haven't been watching any fuckin sports. Not boxing, football, basketball, nothin.

No but I did always have this idea that some evil dictator or sports-crazy trillionaire would go around Europe and quietly assemble a "football" team to challenge the best the Americans had. Sort of like Golota when he just came out of nowhere Vs Bowe. (I know that didn't happen as such but you get the idea) .....could be the biggest thing to hit the States in decades.

He would have the finances but not the desire. My plan would be a 3 year recruitment drive with training camps. Then a "friendly" contest like Drago Vs Creed! Boom!!

Nowadays that isn't really possible, at least not full scale. Even the recruitment drive part intentions would be hard to hide. Perhaps if the recruitment was done in such a way that you were selecting particular players, and not based on what the vast majority of what scouts would look for. As in, there is some kind of new system of football that they couldn't adapt to in a short term. Maybe something like England vs Hungary in the 50's. With club football, like if the Tiki -Taka wasn't "known" but you could drill it into a squad to do it near perfectly that the tactics outweigh the individual talent.

It would still need to be stress-tested against real competition, and in the modern world it would be exceedingly difficult to whatever was being tried didn't get out.

They tried that in Japan. It didn't go well..

The All Japan college all-star team played William & Mary, a small college with a football team that wouldn't rank in the top 200 in the US.

William & Mary won 73-3 & that's because William & Mary played their third and fourth string and didn't pass the ball in the second half.

The look of the Japanese players was depressing. They actually thought they had a chance.

Was just watching The Overlap thing where they're talking about the most iconic kit sponsors.

For QPR it is Guinness without question, fantastic kit.

Liverpool for me is Carlsberg, but I get the nostalgia for Crown Paints.

    Man Utd is Sharp.

Newcastle Utd is without question the Newcastle Brown Ale kit, absolutely iconic.

Arsenal would be JVC or O2.

Celtic is Carling, Rangers McEwans Lager.

Can't argue with that not too much anyways but I'd have to give very very honourable mention to Liverpool's 1988 Crown Paint strips and I might even give the nod to Celtics CRSMITH kit from the same era.

Palace have always had really great shirts. Their TDK one was iconic as was their "Peru Stripe" one.

I did say the CR SMITH Celtic kit and I stand by that but the Palace kit from the FA CUP run of 1990 was better than the TDK kit.

I think that's what it is, speed of thought, instinct whatever. Whenever you want him on the shoulder he's 6 feet behind, whenever you want him to zag he zigs. He's playing for celtic in Scotland and he's a decent finisher so he's gonna get some goals but for what he paid, given our transfer model and budget i think he's fucking rotten. Engles is shite by that criteria, too.

Three profile of guys from England celtic can afford these days - i) guys who haven't had enough chance to show their level yet. Any really good business is gonna be here (Dembele, O'Reily, Vickers, Frimpong). ii) guys who are on the down slope and somebody wants off the wage bill. Potentially useful in a pinch. iii) guys who've had adequate chance and shown themselves to not be very good but are still young enough to be subject to England-inflation. The worst market in world football. Idah is column 3- sucker business
