1993, Scott Weiland and Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots do a brief interview and perform "Plush" in Soho Square in London. At the time, STP had a big following in Southern California but were just getting national exposure with "Sex Type Thing" & "Plush." In the UK, they were pretty much unknown. Playing "Plush" while people just scurry by without noticing.
Following the success of The UK's Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas" in 1984, USA for Africa recorded "We Are The World" on Jan 28, 1985. I'm not a huge fan of The Cure but they had some good tunes and Robert Smith is a massively underrated guitarist. He's also a QPR fan, an all round good lad.
I posted somewhere on here that he's also a fan of the Rocky films. The song, "Catch" was inspired by the scene in the original Rocky when he is talking about what Adrian means to him.
