Even with the obvious chasm in class, the fact that one of Dubois' biggest weaknesses is his defence against the right hand, and with Lennox possessing arguably the hardest right hand of all time, the only outcome is Lewis by murder.

I can hear Foreman shouting down from heaven now. "He's broke his LEGS!"

Lennox didn't tend to fuck about against punchers.

I think he would stop Dubois within 4 rounds.

Are we talking about Lennox Lewis of today? It might go 6 rounds. Lennox at his best, it lasts until Lewis lands a right hand.

That's pretty much a myth, based on the Ruddock fight (no i dont count Golota as a puncher). He clearly was careful against Tya, Tyson, Bruno and Rahman.

But yeah, Lewis blast him in 4 or less

He did blow out Grant who was feared as a puncher too. He also went at Tua early and got his respect.

Grant was never considered a puncher he was viewed as a big guy who could punch a bit, but his main selling point were his boxing skills (oh the irony)

Briggs was known as a puncher also.

As stated, he also went after Tua early.

I don't think he took Rahman seriously, at least the first time. He fucked around in the build up.

    Fair point about Tyson.

If catching him a few times with the right hand while boxing behind the jab is going after a guy, then a ton load of boxers would fit the bill. Good point about Briggs, but Lewis still has a lot more matches against punchers in which he was careful than the opposite.

Im not saying that to discredit him, i like the guy, but this reputation doesnt hold up to scrutiny

After checking Steward's thoughts, it does appear that the gameplan was to box conservatively against Tua, as Steward believed Tua's power carried the full 12 rounds. So aye, you are probably onto something there.
