Another young fighter has died following his fight with Yomato Hata that ended in a draw. A reminder of why boxing is brutal and a dangerous sport. Every fighter that steps into the ring should be respected no matter how much you dislike their personality or think they aren’t that good. Japan seems to have more occurring hospitalization, career ending injuries and fatalities in recent years. Apparently they tend to do hard sparring. Also doesn’t help that they have a kill or be killed samurai mentality with most of them neglecting defense. There needs to be some changes over there with the safety measures to ensure the health of the fighters. Japan is a great boxing country that always produces awesome fights but I’m hoping that they can do something to protect the fighters and also encouraging them to be more defensive minded. This is the fight for those who are morbidly curious. RIP to this warrior.
Damn… a second Japanese fighter has passed away who actually fought on the SAME card. This is sad and also alarming as well. RIP Hiromasa Urakawa Shigetoshi Kotari, Hiromasa Urakawa die from boxing injuries
