Bud has a shitty resume. Canelo has been fighting the same way since his debut. People need to calm down. Bud wasted most of his career.

This i cant really disagree with. While his resume improved a lot in the last few years, its still pretty shallow.

Also, last night was another example of the ridiculousness of the 1 millions weight classes in boxing (especially in the ped era). Bud was moving 2 weight classes (3 in the last 2 years) and looked as big as Canelo. Its really the time to gp back to the original 8 classes, and even that is probably too many wc

Floyd is just better than Crawford. I would bet he beats him like Corley at 147.

Floyd stood in front of Canelo at 40. Yo and beat the hell out of him. Bud won easily but he isn’t the same level as Floyd. PAC beats Crawford.

Floyd also fought a green Canelo who had to drained himself to fight at the Floyd mandated weight contrary to Crawford who had to accept Canelo's terms. Once again, not saying Crawford is greater than he's Floyd, he's not, but at ww and above he beats Floyd imo

I am defining talent as quickness, speed, reflexes, physical innate ability. Skill is how well you apply your talent. That's the typical definitions and it's hard to argue Bud has more talent than Floyd.

Floyd's the one who came from a boxing rich backward. Bud did not. Skills were imparted in Floyd from literally an infant. Crawford's the one with more natural ability. He's a better athlete than Floyd in general.

Pbf had a lot more visible talent than Bud. Doesnt means he was better, but he clearly was more athletically talented

Mayweather jr has pointed out the double standard before. He beat down long time champion 36 year old chicanito Hernandez at age 21. Everyone said Hernandez was washed

The when he was the same age as Hernandez facing a 22 year old Alvarez, he took advantage of a kid who was green

They fought at 154. Floyd was too good and Canelo had no answers at that point in his career.

Bud saw that he could exploit Canelo's weaknesses at this stage of his career. Would a younger, fresher Canelo win? Probably not but he would have been more competitive. Bud's style is a problem for a patient counter puncher like him.

Canelo needs to be set it seems. Keep him from getting set and he can’t get off. That’s what I saw in both the Crawford and Mayweather fights.

Crawford's range, jab and fight IQ make him a tough match up for Mayweather.

No chance Mayweather would have fought him though. Had their careers crossed over Mayweather would have come up with reasons to avoid him.

That’s trolling. Some of them are not even the right weight class time period or he did fight them.

Mayweather jr was at 147 from the end of 2005 to 2015 when he fought berto

He didnt face a peak berto! Just like the others he did face, at the wrong time

All them guys listed were at 47 at 1 point or another during that decade

One could argue that Corrales, Castillo, Judah, and Hatton were Floyd's best wins. Those are the only 4 guys he beat at their peaks. For me, his best win will always be Corrales.

All his other big wins came over faded guys (Mosley, Oscar, Cotto, Pac) and a pre-prime guy (Canelo).

    GOAT my ass.

Even the diminished versions of pacquiao and cotto or the pre clen prime of Alvarez who Mayweather jr faced should rank ahead of judah

I would disagree. I think that the 2012 Cotto had more left in the tank than the 2007 Oscar had.

But overall it's Corrales. Both guys were undefeated, and for context, Corrales was more highly regarded at the time. Most people on forums and in the media back in 2001 were picking Chico.

Probably his best "career" win but not overall and certainly not performance wise.

I originally didn’t really care when Floyd claimed he was the greatest/best ever. A great pro athlete with a ton of confidence and inflated ego…whatever, I’m used to it.

But I’ve gotten annoyed by the fact that so many casuals actually believe that bullshit.

I remember that dipshit DJ Vlad asking Zab for his top 5 all time boxers, and acting surprised that he left off Floyd. Like Floyd is consensus top 5 all time.

I’m more passionate about correcting revisionist history and ignorance than I am for rooting for or hating any particular boxer. And I just can’t stand so much ignorance about the sport.

I sometimes tell people that no boxing historian would ever deny that Floyd was an amazing boxer and an ATG….but they also wouldn’t take that “TBE” shit serious either.

    He’s the GOAT and TBE….at 130

I think Floyd is probably the H2H goat at 130. In terms of overall dominance at the weight, Arguello is the 130 goat.
