That allegedly alltime great durability would get put to the test. He'd take a beating now. He knew this, back when he had a better chance to win

Fair play to Crawford. Terrific performance.

Great win for Crawford. He proved a lot of us wrong. I thought he would be too small for Canelo. Despite going up two divisions and being older than Canelo he beat him fair and square. He didnt run and took some heavy shots from Canelo. In the end it wasnt even close. Bud put on a boxing clinic. Having said that for those saying that Canelo was not a good fighter are taking credit away from Crawford's victory. Canelo always struggled with great boxers. Just like when Dela Hoya Gave tito a boxing clinic for the better part of the fight. That didnt take away from Tito's greatness.

I thought Alvarez' power would be some sort of factor but no sign of it at all

I had Bivol winning 11-1 and Bud winning 10-2. A 9-3 score is being kind to Canelo. He was truly OUT CLASSED here. The gap in ability was GLARING, especially from the 6th round on. Even when Canelo landed punches, it never felt like he was getting the better of things.

I don’t see how it was close.

Yeah they both won wide. Actually insane there were 5 x 115-113 cards across both those fights. Neither one was anywhere near a 7-5 fight imo.

Compubox had Alvarez landing as many or more shots in 8 rounds.

Canelo looked like fat Tua in there ponderously plodding along looking for the late round KO

Not to make excuses but Crawford fought an old Canelo. I know Crawford is older but Canelo has been fighting since he was 15. Too many miles on the ring odometer. Canelo is not the same as the Canelo that beat Caleb Plant. Not saying Crawford would lose to that Canelo because you could just tell Canelo had no answers for Bud's stick and move game plan but it might have been more competative. After last night I'm convinced Prime Dela Hoya would school Canelo too.

I was expecting 118-110. 7-5 in rounds is a joke.

Fell asleep on the couch last night . Avoided the forums/news and downloaded it this morning. Went pretty much as some of us expected. Canelo is just too defensively responsible. That was a benefit when he was the one moving up in weight.

He doesn't really know how to use a size advantage and one again tried to outbox a better boxer.

i thought this was type of fight where crawford controlled majority of fight but several rounds were close.

    round 1 crawford landed what 1 or 2 punches? 5 8(maybe it was 7?) 10 relatively clear.

canelo i think definitely won 4ish rounds (3-5) but clearly lost fight. mayweather-cotto was like that at as well.

big respect after with crawford who talked about bivol/benavidez being too big, and mostly moving up because canelo just isnt that big.

and i thought GGG won 1st fight more convincingly (round wise).

4 elite fighters he has fought when they fought him. 0-4. lol. good fighter overall for boxing IMO but the dude was down 5-zip to amir khan.

to compare him with chavez/sanchez even dlh (is he mexican?) is just dumb.

whatever kellerman and them were talking about yesterday just highlights how little people know about boxing.

to me this puts crawford into the aaron pryor/mike mccallum (probably greater than both) category of who knows how good they actually were. (throw GGG in that as well)

by the eye test crawford is legitimately elite.

Kellerman was awful as per usual. In fact he seemed like he was even more of a tryhard than I remembered. Simply unbearable

Bud stopped his little brother. A revenge fight. It won't happen though.

In a sport that has Ryan, Haney, Fimo, Tank, Shakur, Broener, Keyshawn Davis, Wilder and Fury, Canelo struck you as the dumbfuck that will go broke?

These FB predictions were almost the inverse of the actual odds.

    Actual = Canelo -180, FB = Canelo +163

I dont understand the controversy. Canelo had to have known going in he was using MX gloves. It was perfectly legal. And even though he suggested the gloves were tampered with, he provided no evidence. Which is the issue? The type of glove? Or tampering? What a dumb-fuck video.

Looks like Canelo wants to revisit the ass whipping. Rematch on target for Cinco de Mayo.
