Does Davis have the worst fanbase in boxing history?

In all my years, I have never seen a more shameless, apologetic, sycophantic fanbase of a fighter who's done fuck all in his career.

We've seen our share of passionate and at times annoying fanbases in the past -- the Tyson fanbase, the Mayweather fanbase, the Hamed fanbase, the Oscar fanbase, the Klit fanbase, the Jones fanbase, the Trinidad fanbase, the Loma fanbase, the Canelo fanbase.

But at least allllll of those above fighters are HOFmers with accomplished resumes.

Davis did NOTHING in boxing. Beat Barrios, Rolly, Pitbull, and Ryan... four bums. And struggled with three of those bums. The only one he beat easily was the one he put an absurd rehydration clause on.

Never has a FRAUD had a more delusional legion of groupies --- inside and outside the ring -- than Davis. They defend his abysmal resume like their lives depend on it, and they blame all of his domestic abuses on the victims.

Truly a sad, shameful bunch and the sooner this fraud leaves boxing hopefully the sooner his sycophants leave with him.

 

I say another fraud with a delusional fanbase was Wilder, but at least Wilder EVENTUALLY got in there with a top fighter. And to his credit, got in there with a top fighter three times and took three ass whuppins.

Davis gets exposed by just an okay fighter in Roach and basically says: "Nope, never fighting a decent guy again!"

I strongly suspect that Netflix knows more than we do. If it was total BS, they wouldn't have pulled the plug. The fact that they canceled it means they know criminal charges are coming Davis' way soon.

Its also telling that none of Davis' lawyers have come out and denied it.

Easily the most insufferable fan base in boxing today. Right along with the “we done with the 90s” Gen Z incels that surf Reddit forums all day and listen to women hating content on YouTube 24/7.

Tank has never shown any inclination to get in the ring with top competition. But the fight with Roach clearly has him so SHOOK that he appears to be actively trying to get out of boxing. The pressure must be mounting for him to face somebody and he’s sooooooo scared of those guys that in the press conference announcing the fight with Paul, he was super emotional when talking to the reporters. Almost cried.

Never before has a fanbase championed somebody who is such a duck artist. Just goes to show what marketing and promotion does. Tank obviously got the rub from Floyd, and that combined with his social media antics clearly earned him a fan base that is well and beyond his limited capabilities in the ring.

My only thing is what’s Tank gonna do when he retires? What skills in life does he have? I can’t see him going the trainer or manager route. Damn sure can’t see him calling fights. To my knowledge, Hollywood isn’t knocking on his door with movie scripts. And he doesn’t strike me as the type to be smart with his money, and live a simple, low key life in the countryside of Japan. His only way obtaining any income is through boxing.

 

Some guys aren't vert bright, but they at least realize they don't have much to offer other than boxing, so they put everything into their career. Tank is too stupid to realize how stupid he is.

 

Tank isnt worried about going broke. You ain't gotta pay bills behind bars.

Either way, I'm sure Netflix had the resources to dig deep enough into it to find out that the allegations weren't BS.

It depends on if Netflix knows a lot more than we do.

If they found out that an arrest is pending, they probably still cancel it, even with hot ticket sales. They're so massive as a company they dont lose sleep over it. They're not Showtime or HBO. They're not financially impacted by canceling any fight, one that's hot or not. They care more about their reputation. Its a very woke company. Employing a guy with MULTIPLE domestic charges against him, and one that's new, isnt a good look for them. The money they lose on axing any fight is just peanuts to them. Because again, a network like HBO or Showtime back in the day depended on boxing. Netflix doesn't at all.

But did the poor ticket sales make it an EASIER decision? Yeah, I'm sure it did. But it wasnt the deciding factor. Davis is toxic to any network's reputation.

 

Tank permanently fucked his career. Netflix will never ever offer him a payday again, and he's burned his bridges with Turki. Where the fuck does he think he's gonna find another massive payday? He can get one, but he's gonna have to face a top name to do so, and we all know he's too pussy for that.

So he doesn't wanna work with DAZN. He fucked himself on Netflix. And theres a good chance that Amazon Prime would also distance themselves from airing him. Where does that leave him?

Davis wants the same treatment Jon Jones gets. Jones is a POS too, but at least he's a genuinely great fighter who for the majority of his career, faced the hardest guys he could get his hands on. Davis is a shitty ass fighter who's severe arrogance has stopped him becoming anything more than a decently creative puncher. He can't pressure well, can't finish well and had these holes concealed by the worst opposition of any fighter I've seen in boxing today outside of Boots.

I remember people talking about him having something burnt down for the insurance money and even if it's not true, people believed it coz Davis is that kind of prick.
