    Heavyweight

    Overrated: Jack Dempsey

Iconic puncher, but avoided Harry Wills and benefited from selective matchmaking.

    Underrated: Ezzard Charles

Beat a ridiculous list of Hall of Famers; overshadowed by Louis & Marciano.

    ---

    Cruiserweight

    Overrated: David Haye

Great talent, weak résumé at cruiser, myth grows because of small division era.

    Underrated: Carlos De León

4-time champion, beat multiple top-level guys, ignored due to division’s youth.

    ---

    Light Heavyweight

    Overrated: Adonis Stevenson

Big power, terrible title defenses; avoided Kovalev era’s smoke.

    Underrated: Charles “Kid” McCoy

Innovator, beat elite names in late 1800s, often erased from LHW history.

    ---

    Super Middleweight

    Overrated: Caleb Plant

Talented, but short résumé; hype exceeded accomplishments.

    Underrated: Andre Dirrell

Skills on par with elite, robbed vs. Froch, plagued by injuries and politics.

    ---

    Middleweight

    Overrated: Canelo Álvarez at Middleweight

Great fighter overall, but avoided prime GGG rematch until years later, benefited from scoring.

    Underrated: Bernard Hopkins

Longevity hides how insane his résumé was between 160–175. His MW run is absurd.

    ---

    Junior Middleweight (154)

    Overrated: Jaime Munguia (as champion)

Won title super young, defended vs weak opponents; reputation outgrew résumé.

    Underrated: Raúl Márquez

Forgotten warrior who fought absolute killers and beat elite talents.

    ---

    Welterweight

    Overrated: Adrien Broner (at 147)

Marketed like a superstar, reality: overrated at this weight, no elite wins here.

    Underrated: Curtis Cokes

Brilliant technician, unified, defensively slick, rarely discussed.

    ---

    Junior Welterweight

    Overrated: Ricky Hatton

Good crowd favorite, but résumé inflated by marketing; struggled with elites.

    Underrated: Antonio Cervantes (Kid Pambelé)

Sergeants of the division; one of the most underrated champions ever.

    ---

    Lightweight

    Overrated: Hector Camacho (at 135)

Flashy, very good but not great at lightweight; reputation grew from personality.

    Underrated: Ismael Laguna

Beat prime Ortiz, clean skill set, forgotten by casual fans.

    ---

    Junior Lightweight

    Overrated: Gervonta Davis at 130

Great power, but résumé at 130 is weak compared to legends.

    Underrated: Ben Villaflor

Hall-level fighter, defended against killers, erased from memory.

    ---

    Featherweight

    Overrated: Prince Naseem Hamed

Amazing highlight reel, but one elite opponent (Barrera) shut him down.

    Underrated: Sandy Saddler

Crushed Willie Pep, insane puncher, rarely mentioned among top 10 ever.

    ---

    Junior Featherweight

Overrated: Guillermo Rigondeaux (at 122 résumé hype)

Amazing talent, but résumé is thin; inactivity inflated mythical status.

    Underrated: Israel Vázquez

Warriors’ warrior; trilogy legend; beat brutal competition.

    ---

    Bantamweight

Overrated: Khaosai Galaxy (quality of opposition)

Insane KO stats but thin résumé; fought mostly weak contenders.

    Underrated: Éder Jofre

The “Brazilian Sugar Ray,” all-time great, lost only past prime.

    ---

    Flyweight

    Overrated: Daigo Higa

Powerful and hyped early, but résumé didn’t justify legend talk.

    Underrated: Miguel Canto

Defensive genius, one of the best pure out-boxers ever, ignored due to division.

    ---

    Minimumweight / Strawweight

    Overrated: Knockout CP Freshmart

Title defenses with extremely soft matchmaking.

    Underrated: Ricardo López

Maybe the greatest technician pound-for-pound ever, undefeated, perfect.

Ezzard Charles, universally recognised as one of the greatest fighters of all time, is underrated, apparently.

That's the first thing in the list. Can't be arsed to go through the rest of this slop.

Not sure if I'm reading it right but Stevenson did not duck Kovalev this is absolute bullshit (and coming from someone who liked Kovalev better and who would have favored him to win). The WBC had mandated Kovalev as the mandatory contender and agreed to a 50/50 split even though Stevenson was their champ and an much bigger draw but Main Event backed out using some ridiculous excuses such as the location (it was heading to Montreal) and the exchange rate lol.

No need to state the facts. Everyone here is convinced it was a duck and the truth wont get in the way of their opinion. Hell, when it was kovalev team that rejected the fight, the plebians here were all saying that it doesnt matters cause anyway, Stevenson would have found a way out even if kovy had accepted
