Official for late February. Who wins? Ryan sucks, but Barrios is bang average. Not sure who I pick tbh. One would think Barrios winning is more likely, but I can envision Ryan winning this one. If he doesn't, that that's it for his career. If you cant beat Mario Barrios for a belt, then its never gonna happen for you.
Man, Barrios is trash. But if ROLLY can outbox and outclass Ryan??? I’m gonna go with Barrios via KO.
Garcia be getting these opportunities given to him even after he’s lost his last fight and hasn’t earned a title shot. I don’t know how he still manages to keep himself relevant..
Bottom of the totem pole in opponent here IMO.. Ryan Garcia has name recognition and can get a buzz going on social media....a Haney rematch would be huge for both, Teo, fuck a Rolly rematch.. Both Ryan and Haney are broken, Haney chin is crackd, emotionally they are both fucked, Ryan confidence has to be in the dirty he NEVER expected Rolly to even be competitive against him...never mind kick his ass. Humble him n fuck his ass... Barrios by late TKO who knows in 12 months we might be talking about Haney and Ryan UNFICATION fight at Welter..
he doesnt really even need to win he will still get a few more paydays for the same reason he chose them two, even if barrios beats him down.
the oracle of obesity says the fight isnt done anyhow. Vegas if it gets done. Despite Ryan's video of him signing something the fight IS NOT DONE. There remain issues between Ryan & Golden Boy that need to be clarified & the contact between GB & PBC is also not done, etc.
Fight is this weekend. I’m looking forward to the undercard fights more than the actual main event. Richardson Hitchins vs Oscar Duarte Gary Antuanne Russell vs Andy Hiroaka Frank Martin vs Nahir Albright
I got nothin else to do Saturday, I guess I'm gonna order. I think Barrios is gonna put the nail in the coffin and rid of us of this fraud.
... And yet, I never really regret it. Most PPVs I order I dont feel I did the wrong thing. I ordered Teo-Shakur -- I felt well worth it for the virtuoso performance. Before that, I hadn't ordered a PPV since the Times Square card. It turned out super shitty, but the concept seemed cool -- the execution and fights were abysmal. THIS fight just falls on the right weekend for me. This weekend I'm kid-free, in the house solo, nothing else to do, no other notable sporting events going on. IF Ryan-Barrios had fallen on a busy weekend for me, I wouldn't be ordering. Its not something I had planned well in advance. I literally decided yesterday that I'd order.
I get the part about the being kid free but it's a nothing main event. Was talking earlier with someone about barrios, hes not even close to oba carr level. Antonio diaz would whip him. Is barrios any better than 50/50 vs soto karass or josesito lopez? Then you got hitchins who's one of the Most boring fucks in the sport
Neither Ryan nor Barrios would be a name in the sport 25 years ago. So no, he's not as good as Antonio Diaz. In we're being extremely honest, out this whole current lot, Shakur is the only one I see competing on a high level 25 years ago.
1. Not good. 2. I should have clarified what I said. I meant out of the current 130-140 lot Shakur is the only one. Yes, Bam could compete against junior fly.
the only fight i was kinda lookin forward too was russell vs hiraoka. but hiraoka arriving a few days before the fight seems like a terrible idea. surprised youre picking hiraoka, reed just checked, russell is a 3 to 1 fav
