It's weird that I have always thought that. And I would have bet my left nut that the video was filmed in Southwest England. Cornwall. Devon or southern Somerset.

Today I finally checked out where they filmed it. The entire video was shot in Ireland. The scenes with the pub and the hopscotch & all that was filmed in County Wicklow. So much for the most English video ever.

I always assumed Mel C was a lesbian. She had a pretty face though, she was also easily the best singer in that group by a mile.

 

Yes. They decided early on not to have s lead singer though Melanie C was clearly the best singer.

As for the lesbian issue, I assumed that too. Her and Posh were the only ones not involved with another member. Mel B said that her and Geri had slept together in the early days of the group and I think Geri dated Emma for a while before they were in the group.
