Example Lewis beat a shot Tyson. He still beats a prime Tyson. Jake Paul beats a shot Tyson. Gets beheaded by a prime Tyson.
I don't think "shot" is the correct term but there's zero chance for Tommy Morrison against Big George.
I think Tyson would have beaten any version of Holmes. I just think he was all wrong for Larry. Also, Qawi would have beaten any version of Saad. The Saad he beat was a bit faded, but nothing in their two fights suggest Saad could ever handle Qawi. Examples of the opposite: Norris would not have beaten prime Leonard and Curry. Calzaghe and Tarver would not have beaten prime Jones. Barry McGuigan would not have beaten prime Pedroza. AJ would not have beaten prime Wald. Tszyu would not have beaten prime Chavez Matthew Hilton would not have beaten prime Benitez Theres a lot of examples.
That one is soooooooooo obvious that I dont think it counts. Its like saying that Willy Wise wouldn't beat a prime Chavez or that Danny Williams wouldn't beat a prime Tyson, or that William Joppy wouldn't beat a prime Duran. Just incredibly obvious examples .
Yeah i was kind of thinking the same thing but George wasn't one foot in the grave like Chavez or Duran.
Miguel Cotto beating Sergio Martinez. A prime Martinez would have beaten Cotto. Evander Holyfield beating George Foreman and Larry Holmes. I can’t see Holyfield being able to beat both Foreman and Holmes in the primes. Larry Holmes beating Muhammad Ali. Hot take but I actually think any version of Holmes would have a good chance at beating even a prime Ali.
Always thought Hatton beats any version of Zoo. Perfect style for it. Conversely, he wouldn't have beaten a prime Castillo. MTF
Naoya Inoue beating Donaire twice. I personally think Inoue would have always beaten Donaire even at his best. Erik Morales beating Daniel Zaragoza. Morales beats a younger Zaragoza every time.
Calzaghe probably doesn't beat a prime Hopkins, though Hopkins didn't want to know at the relevant time. Lennox beat a shot Mike, but he always beats him imo. MTF
I think the version of Fury who beat Wlad also beats ANY version of Wlad. It wasn't a win you could put down to youth, it was down to Wlad being unable to read Fury's skittish rhythm, Fury being able to match him in height and reach, and exposing Wlad's fundamental flaw, he had to be set to throw. I think it's a big problem for any incarnation of Klitschko.
Saying that, I think Wlad probably beats the more flat footed Fury who appeared from Wilder II onwards.
Ali didnt age well. couldn't even keep up with the reflexes of a 60+ year old Chris Persaud on Instagram: "Ali and Redd Foxx #ali #comedy #boxing #comedian #reddfoxx"
Tszyu loses to the Chavez of the late 90s/early 00s Probably favor prime Chavez over prime Oscar as well. I tend to favor the 93-94 Whitaker over Tito, but it would be a tough fight for him. The naturally smaller Whitaker would be giving up quite a bit of height and reach against a powerful and accurate puncher.
