Now that these 3 have retired from the sport for good how would you rank them from best to worst? 3 exciting Easter European fighters who were world class P4P fighters. Some might even say that they were all robbed of a career defining win (Canelo, Haney, Ward). Who was the best of the lot?

Kovalev is first. His two losses againt Ward were shams. He crashed really hard after that though

Lomachenko. At least he has a career win against Russell, and his resume is much better than GGG

GGG. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. When your best clear win is David fucking Lemieux, you know your career was a waste

Kov peaked the highest of the three, but sadly he's the one who will be remembered the least fondly and will have to wait the longest to make the HOF.

Golovkin and Loma were both overrated, but I would consider Golovkin a much better fighter. Less flashy, but more effective and complete imo. Golovkin would never shit the bed against a guy as average as Teofimo.

In a P4P match-up, both at their peaks, I think Golovkin would break Loma down.

    Loma was a fucking myth.

Loma was Actually THE Best Fighter on the Planet for a Period of Time, Something Kovalev and Triple G Can't Say...He Also Won Belts in Multiple Divisions, Unlike the Others...

REED Likes Triple G Head to Head Over Kovalev and Even Though the Lack of AMBITION was Disturbing (His Career was Basically "Canelo or Bust"), Triple G Didn't CRASHthefuckOUT the Way Kovalev Did...

    1. Loma

    2. GGG
    3. Kovalev

I strongly disagree. I do not ever believe Loma was the best fighter on the planet. Terence Crawford shared the same prime, and Loma was never better than Bud.

Makes no difference. I hate Floyd but would never deny there was a time Floyd was the best fighter on the planet.

Loma was never better than Bud. Ever.

Theres no basis for having Loma over Golov. Golov has a rightful win over Canelo that the judges stole from him. Kov has a rightful win over Ward that the judges stole for him.

Loma's resume just doesnt stack up. His best win came over an aged Rigo, who never won anything above 122.

Pre-Teofimo (2020), Loma Accomplished as MUCH as Bud Had, in FEWER Fights, and was Dominating Naturally BIGGER Men...Bud was Also (Rightfully) Criticized for Fighting DOWN to the Level of His Opposition (Mean Machine, Gamboa) Back Then...

Yes, In Hindsight, Bud was CLEARLY the Best Fighter of the Era, NO Close 2nd...But in REAL Ass Time (Again, PRE-Teofimo), There was Little Argument for Bud OVER Loma...

Sadly, Top Rank/ESPN was Very Much COMPLICIT In Pushing This Narrative...They Had the Ability to SHOWCASE Loma While COCK BLOCKING Bud From Bigger Fights (Pacquiao), Simultaneously...

His Time was BRIEF, But There Was a MOMENT in Time When Lomachenko was "The BEST Fighter in the World, Pound for Pound"...

Loma, for me, was never setting the world on fire, even at his peak.

Its not like the dynamic of circa of 2000, where technically Jones was the best fighter in the world, but Trinidad and Mosley had more claim to P4P #1 based on big wins. Loma never had those big wins.

Golovkin also had a legitimate claim as being the best fighter in the world at one point.

Golovkin imo is the clear answer here if we're talking the right combination of best and greatest.

I WANT TO say the answer is Kov, but his latter career went out with such a whimper that it tarnished his legacy.

My opinion on Loma will never change. The guy was more flash than substance.

I'm not factoring in the amateur career. If that mattered, then Mark Breland would in the Hall. Golov had a stellar amateur career himself.

All I care about is that Golov was better and greater as a pro.

Neither one had some Duran or Ezzard Charles like resume of wins, but Golovkin's wins are better, and Golovkin never shit the bed like Loma did against Teo.

Despite Loma's flash, I think Golovkin had a higher ring IQ. I also think Golovkin had more heart.

Golovkin wins are better than loma wins???? I just dont see it. Yeah he should have gotten the first Canelo fight, but he clearly lost against Der. And going by this logic, Loma also should have a win over Haney

Nope. Nothing to do with ESB. Just find Loma incredibly overrated.

For me, Golov ranks higher as a pro.

Ukranians always considered Usyk the better fighter than Lomachenko, before he even moved up to heavyweight.

Loma is certainly HOF material, but for me he falls short of ATG status.

If we consider 130 his best weight, which it was, I'd confidently take Floyd, Arguello, Chavez, Camacho, and Nelson to whup him at that weight, historically.

The other 3 sure, but I don't see Camacho "whipping" him, let alone even beating him convincingly. "Macho" had fast hand and fee running away.

Camacho, for all the disrespect he gets, had a much better resume than Loma. It isn't even close really. Loma didn't have enough firepower to make Camacho run away. He ain't Chavez or Rosario.

Loma shit the bed and choked against a Camacho wannabe.

Camacho Loma would be a really compelling fight. I think Loma is competitive against Nelson, but loses clearly. He wins a few rounds against Arguello, but get blasted sooner rather than later. Chavez beat him from pillar to post, and depending on how PBF feels, he either does the same or easily outpoint him.

I think Floyd would stop Loma at 130 TBH.

I dont even see Loma as a lock over prime Casamayor.

Back to Camacho vs Loma, I'm not seeing a path for Loma winning. People really underrate on this forum how good the mid-80s Camacho was. Hector not only had most physical advantages over Loma, Camacho was also bigger and physically stronger than Loma.

The very best 130 pounder in history I'd make Loma a favorite over is Brian Mitchell, as Mitchell was a bit too slow and methodical for Loma.

From his era only, I think the following guys were all better fighters than Loma:

    Bud
    Usyk
    Inoue
    Bivol
    Beterbiev
    Canelo

Yes, even Canelo, whom I also find overrated. But I think Canelo had more substance than Loma.

I've been critical of Chocolatito at times, but Choco was a much better fighter than Loma. Not even close.
