Great underrated fights from Saen Sor Ploenchit. Guy had 3 back to back to ward within 6 months. Incredible.

Watched a bunch of Zavala this week, he's fucking great. Decima, Salud, Mad Max, Coffee and Cargle were all great. This one's next on my list for him.

Definitely won’t be disappointed especially when you have those two matched together. I do wish there was a full fight of Zavala vs Mad Max which ended in a draw.

Zavala was crazy exciting win or lose. Imagine how a fight with him against Zaragoza, Vazquez, Jacob would have looked at the time.

On the eve of the release of the Prince Naseem biopic, which looks awful, I watched a selection of his fights starting with the Robinson title fight and ending with the Barrera fight. There is no arguing that his resume was padded and his title defences were very much characteristic of how frank allegedly warren operated at the time. However, I forgot how entertaining the Barrera fight was - he always looked dangerous, and Barrera showed so much caution and discipline...it's a shame how bullish he was about a rematch and what was to follow but effectively it was the end of the road, the fire was gone.

Muangchai Kittikasem winning his first world title in an underrated Light Flyweight war against Tacy Macalos.

Indeed it was. His other fights with Yakushiji, Bueno, Zaragoza, and Larios were fantastic stuff as well. Almost forgot just how fun the pocket rocket was. Makes me wonder how the Hamed fight turned out to be so dull in comparison.

Anyone else think it could have gone either way, and that there a lot of close rounds?

Seems like most think Holmes was a close but clear winner

What a damn entertaining fighter Saen Sor Ploenchit was. Sort of reminds me of Masao Ohba.

One of the more overlooked fights from the 80s. 40 years since this fight took place.
