Come on now...for the first 4 rounds AJ was doing DICK...just single digit punches landed....20 thrown..mostly jabs. He carried Jake for a few rounds so he doesn't lose face.....

 

If that was a straight fight-if- and I doubt it, but if- then he's taken an incredibly long walk from internet tough guy to being able to survive 20 minutes with a poor but genuine HW champ.

I think Joshua is not just diminished but as I said before never the most fluid smooth guy of all times.

I do believe there was a time when Paul l would not have gotten through a hard spar with Joshua.

knew this was coming though. what paul did some day 1 amateurs could pull off if they had the balls. shouldve been DQed. the second he actually stood his ground and fought he was KOed immediately.

embarassing performance IMO. might as well have done what mcneeley did in a similarly overmatched position just come out swinging and lose in 1 round.

the chavez jr fight was first fight to me that really exposed his level. no prayer against anyone who can really fight but typically has a few good rounds in him. not a hard enough hitter at 200 or HW.
