Nothing set in stone yet, but rumors circulating Spence vs Tszyu targeted for next year. Both are shot to pieces. Tszyu might be THE ONLY name guy Spence could still beat.
I would take Tszyu, honestly. Not that I think Errol will come back but Tszyu has taken less damage and I think he wants to fight, unlike Errol.
Prime Spence is a better fighter than Tim Tszyu could ever be but I don’t see it in Errol anymore. At this point a come back would just be risking his health.
Ehhh, I no longer think Spence is coming back. No interview he does and nothing he posts on social hints that he's seriously planning a comeback. He appears to be in full family man mode now, which is great. I think he's retired.
Looked the same to me. Won every round. Landed sick shots with both hands. He kept switching to southpaw which was weird. But otherwise, looked like the same Tszyu.
Yea. If nothing else it aint happening this summer even though it's below the eye Maybe oct/nov now at the earliest
Tim looked his usual basic self. I’m guessing he beats Spence due to the inactivity on Errol’s part but Tim will never be a world beater or anything.
That's the problem, he looked the same. I'm not convinced he beats Spence at all, Tszyu has big holes in his game....all the stuff people used to (wrongly) say about Kostya is actually true of Tim.....low workrate plodder/sharpshooter who tries to bomb guys outta there and is clueless when they fight back.
Timmy has sacked his entire team (Pedro Diaz plus Australian hipsters) and gone all-in with Jeff Fenech in Sydney. Oh dear.
Fenech is a guy who had extreme natural talent. He's gonna be frustrated training a zero-talent palooka like Tim.
It doesnt matter in Tim's case, it really doesnt. Eddie Futch wouldn't be able to turn this guy into a top fighter.
Maybe he's good in the gym side of thing? No idea but from what i remember of his corner work just kept repeating himself.
Fenech trained/managed/cornered Danny Green, Vic Darchinyan, Sakio Bika, Hussey Hussein and a few others so I guess has a patchy record with some success and a strap or 2 amongst mostly offensive fighters. Most of his corner advice in the early days consisted of inintelligible high volume screaming while waving his hands around. Most of that screaming was about throwing more punches, which is great advice if you can fight like Jeff Fenech. Unfortunately most can't. On the plus side not many people here know boxing like Fenech his contact list is huge and is a crafty bloke, so Timmy won't die wondering. On Timmy - the kid needs to see a sports psychologist, he's all over the shop making crazy decisions without dealing with the cognitive dissonance and PTSD from his embarassing losses and career plummet.
