FINAL PREDICTIONS/Fight night discussions: Teo vs Shakur

Sad thing is TANK could've been playing the role of "I'm him" "I'm A side" "33-0" "The face of boxing".......had he after the Ryan fight fought and IMO beaten Haney and Lopez....he wasted so much momentum.


Tank v Shakur would be the biggest fight that could be made in boxing....we here know Shakur would beat him, but the casual work would be in shock.

 

But are they gonna pay him to continue to fight bums? I think at some point they’re gonna put their foot down and demand a major fight, especially considering how increasingly inactive he’s become.

 

Teo really disappointed me but that also says a lot about just how good Shakur is, he’s extremely skilled, elite level and certainly a Top P4P fighter. I was under the impression that Teo would rise to the occasion as the underdog yet again but all it showed us is that styles really do make fights where Loma and Taylor’s styles suited Teo more. I had a feeling that Teo’s fights with Martin and Ortiz would reflect how he would look against Shakur and he got exposed big time.

Shakur is gonna be a hard man to beat for sure. Not exciting but he’s very efficient.

 

Eating crow now. I’m not shocked by how easy Shakur schooled Teo but it was still crazy to see just how utterly clueless he looked and had no means of adjusting at all. His corner, especially his dad, were completely useless. Shakur beat Teo in one sided fashion, a feat that no one else was able to do. Impressive performance.

 

Styles make fights bro. Teo is just an idiot for trying to outbox a boxer. Props to shakur but the old because a fighter beat b fighter must mean he hes greater than c fighter is flawed.

 

Teo fought his usual fight....terrible clumsy footwork, low ring IQ, useless jab, can't string his punches together because of that shit jab....the one thing he does well is control aggression n Shakur voided it with his jab and boxing.

I agree with the ABC comparison....IMO Loma today/last 2-4 years won't beat Shakur today, but it will be competitive... 7-5, 8-4...

 

Teo looked like he was going to try to use aggression and size to his advantage but Shakur's jab and some crisp counters ended that pipe dream early on.

Aside from that one close round where Stevenson took his foot off the gas a bit Teo had no answers. Once Shakur busted him up it was definitely all over for Teo.

 

Stevenson looked much stronger. He has the bigger frame and always looks like a solid welterweight when you see him sparring these guys who fight in higher divisions like crawford and ennis. He should never drop below 140 again

 

If he and Tank fought, that would be Tank's ONLY chance -- getting the fight made at 135.

At 140, its basically a mismatch.
