Your all time favorite boxer from Puerto Rico

Inspired by Bad Bunny’s halftime show appearance and his dedication to Puerto Rico. PR has historically produced some terrific fighters from there but who would you say is your all time favorite if you had to pick just one?

Wilfredo Gomez for me. Bazooka was a total beast and pretty much the complete fighter at 122.

 

its not popular among "real" fans but give me Tito. the guy was electric and always showed up to fight.

 

Probably a three-way tie between Benitez, Gomez, and Ortiz. Huge fan of all three.

Ortiz is the greatest Rican based on his incredibly deep resume of wins.

If we're talking best -- theres never been a better Rican than Gomez at 122.

 

I saw a poll on Facebook recently, where it asked who is the greatest PR fighter of all time.

95% of responses said Cotto.

Fucking casuals should have never ever been provided an outlet to talk boxing.

 

I miss the days when boxing didn’t have such an influx of know nothing casuals who just say whatever bullshit.

 

I think they always existed, we just didn’t have the type of technology to see so many dumb opinions.
