Any young, unbeaten heavyweight who hits hard will get compared to Tyson. Just how it goes.

Saying that, I do think this kid is really, really good. I'm enjoying his journey so far.

Pretty impressed from what I saw. Good defense, very fast hands and throws shots with purpose and doesn't waste any. I like the way he took his foot off the gas a bit after the first couple of rounds when Franklin didn't fold. He kept mixing light fast shots with vicious ones and kept the pressure on without the danger of gassing out.

That uppercut was nasty. The main question mark now is whether he can take a punch as well as he gives one.

He's a well schooled fast southpaw counter puncher, hard to beat those guys. I was watching his fights recently since he got recommended as a very good fighter. I think you have to look at a fighters offence and defence separately. Offensively he is good, he's a fast well schooled southpaw counter puncher with one punch power who can shorten up his punches. Defensively you have to just forget about his offence and look entirely at his defence. I saw him take a couple of shots that I didn't like against a previous opponent, can't recall which one but I made a mental note of it. Need to see more of his defence being tested, I suspect a good jabber will give him problems and a guy with good feints but when I look around the division right now we have a Fabio Wardly as champion which says it all. Usyk is on his way out. Joshua and Dubois would get iced, as would Parker. Kabayel is going to be the one who gives him problems and could beat him. I hate to be a stingerkarl but I do want to see his defence and chin properly tested before a full assessment. His offence is pretty high level and he's counter punching well which is an aspect of defence.

But the fact is that he's 21, in a really shit division once Usyk goes. If he can beat Kabayel, I don't really see who can beat him outside of a McCall/Rahman vs Lewis situation where the better guy just gets KTFO. People are really underrating Kabayel though. That guy is very legit and destroying all of his opponents to the body lately.

Honestly just chuck him in with Usyk. If he loses the 0, who fucking cares? It's the only genuine challenge at this stage for Usyk, and it's the only chance Itauma will probably get to fight a genuine ATG, so fuck it, just make the fight. The people trying to delay it are trying to defend their guy so he looks like an unbeatable monster, or delay it so this guy has no legit opposition and also looks an unbeatable monster. It's stupid, just make the fights, it annoyed me that I didn't call for the Lewis-Klitschko fights when they were all on the horizon, so I'm not going to do that now.

REED TOTALLY Gets What You're Saying, But He Thinks Going from Shot Dillian Whyte & Jermaine Franklin STRAIGHT to Usyk Could Ultimately Be a Disservice to Itauma...In NO Way is REED Saying Babysit the Guy, But Anytime Prior to 2027 Seems Premature in His Opinion...

@ the VERY Least, Itauma Needs to Grab the WBO Strap from Fabio Wardley 1st...

2-3 Fights MAX is All REED's Saying, Then Usyk Anytime in 2027...Itauma Mentioned Hrgovic in His Post-Fight Interview...He Needs to Face Wardley for Sure, Maybe an Hrgovic/Parker Type and a Bakole/Zhang Type...Then Usyk...

By that Point, Beating Itauma Would Actually ENHANCE Usyk's Legacy a Bit...As Is, Beating Itauma Doesn't Budge Usyk's Legacy @ All...

Wardley is about to get beat down by dubious anyway, but if by some flukish miracle he pulls the buster Douglas type upset then him and itauma are stable mates anyway and wont fight

Literally, REED Never Typed the Words "Fabio Wardley" UNTIL He Upset Joseph Parker...By "Stable Mates" Do You Mean Same Promoter? Same Trainer? Both?

Itauma could either khtfko an old Usyk or it could be Mayweather-Canelo 2.0 where the young kid gets schooled (somehow this enhances Mayweather's legacy)

I'm just a boxing fan. I'm not into the strategy of how can he earn the most or who will he look better against or beat more easily. But to each his own.

You Have a Consistently SHITTY Way of Ignoring Words as They're Actually Typewritten, Opting Instead to Extrapolate Your OWN Bullshit From Them....

    But REED Digresses...

Specifically, REED Expressed Concern w/Going STRAIGHT to Usyk On the "Strength" of Shot Dillian Whyte and Jermaine Franklin...If That's Enough of a Litmus Test for YOU, Agree to DISagree...

Fuuuurthermore, Itauma Has Yet to Be Hit BACK w/a Hard Shot, Isn't a Pedigreed Ammy Fighter (to REED's Knowledge) and JUST Won His 14th Professional Fight...Not Sure How, When or Why You Pulled "Earning the Most" and "Beat More Easily" Out of Your Ass...

If the Logic ESCAPES You, Then as Pusha T and Malice Said, "So Be It"...
