Usyk vs Verhoeven is this weekend. Verhoeven is a great kickboxer but in boxing rules Usyk has the clear advantage, although much like any fight you just never know what could possibly happen. Are we gonna see a Fury vs Ngannou scenario? Or AJ vs Ngannou?
Main Card: Oleksandr Usyk vs Rico Verhoeven Hamzah Sheeraz vs Alem Begic Shakhram Giyasov vs Jack Caterrall Frank Sanchez vs Richard Torrez Jr Mizuki Hiruta vs Mai Solomon
What a shitty card overall. Torres vs Sanchez is an interesting matchup on paper but Sanchez is a boring fuck
Is Verhoeven the first Dutchman to challenge for the World Heavyweight Title, just out of curiosity? I know there was the Belgian guy Coopman who fought Ali but can't think of a Dutch challenger ever.
Even if he were to win via brutal ko he'd have a long way to go to become the greatest. Unbeaten WBF super fly champ Samson Dutch boy holds that distinction
Dutchies are all Muay Thai guys for some reason. If Von Schnitzel starts throwing leg kicks he might have a chance.
Yeah, I actually got well into watching Muay Thai and western kickboxing for a bit last year, so I knew a bit about Rico and how much of a beast he is. Obviously he's going to get an absolute pasting here, but he's a scary dude in his own arena.
Anyone watching this? Can you actually see the pyramids during the fights? If so then they should have done the fight during the day would be a much cooler visual than dark with some gay ass lights on pyramids probably
