What are your favorites? Two I watched recently were really good. The New York Sack Exchange & From Elway to Marino. From way back I liked the one they did on the Hillsborough disaster & the aftermath. The one on Billy Simms was good. The one about the '97 Heisman race was badass complete with graphics from the 90's.
The one about the Bills losing four straight Superbowls is really good too. And the two they made about The U were good even though I hate that puto school.
The OJ Made in America is the best one. It’s a brilliant documentary. Pony Excess about SMU football in the 80s was great. The Two Escobars was also great. The U part 1 was really good. The second part wasn’t very impressive to me.
I forgot about The Two Escobars. That was badass. I watched the one on Brian Bosworth the other night. It started off really good and exciting then fizzled out and dragged on at the end. His 30 for 30 was just like his career.
We used to see Bosworth at this taco Tuesday bar in Venice. Dude was looking rough and that was at least 10 or 12 years ago
I haven't seen the OJ one yet. I started watching the one about the '86 Mets but when I realized it was like three or four parts, I turned it off. Didn't have time for it but the part I saw was good.
The OJ one is really long, it’s 5 parts. It’s perhaps unfair to compare to the others, as it’s more of a miniseries while most of the others are so much shorter. I liked Winning Time a lot. It’s about the Knicks-Pacers rivalry from 93-95. I’m not into golf but I still found Shark interesting. I remembered Greg Norman’s Masters meltdown being a big thing when it happened, and this doc talks about it. I was not a fan of the Tyson and Tupac one. I thought it was cheesy. Also didn’t care much for the one on Marion Jones. I liked Catching Hell, it was about the 03’ NLCS series between the Marlins and Cubs and all the shit Steve Bartman went through I liked 9.79*, about the 100m final at the 88’ Summer Olympics in Korea. Ben Johnson got busted that time. Nearly all the contestants got busted or linked to PEDs at some point. I thought those were solid. Mark Gastineau seems like a pretty insufferable guy. As a kid I went to one of his fights against Tim Anderson, the one in San Francisco. The aftermath of those bouts is crazy Poison, Bribes, and Murder in the Seedy Underbelly of 90s Heavyweight Boxing
