Brilliant fucking fight. Karo landed a few more shots on the feet, but Diego took them with no problem. Diego landed a few big shots, including a few uppercuts in the clinch that ended up nearly swelling both of Karo's eyes shut. Karo had a couple of spectacular judo throws, some of the best I've ever seen in an MMA fight, dropping Sanchez on his head twice, BUT Diego recovered quickly from everything Karo tried to throw at him. Diego pushed the pace the entire fight, and showed some of the best transitions you'll see from any fighter. His ground game was excellent, always looking for better position, and he landed a few good strikes from the ground. Fight was dead even after two, but Diego turned up the heat in round 3 and put up what could have been a two point round, and in fact was on at least one of the judges cards to win a UD If you didnt see the fight, make sure to catch it, I'm sure Spike will replay it 30000 times
I had Karo winning the fight, other then the uppercut at the beginning of the first round that cut Karo's eye the round belonged to Karo as did the second round. Sanchez won the last round and you could have scored it a 10-8 but thats still a draw. No way did Sanchez win the first two rounds.:nono:
I only saw the last round and a half, it was a good fight. Sanchez is the ebst fighter to come out of the TUF series.
Awsome fight....I honestly had it 2-1 Karo.....Sanchez showed he did have the warrior heart that night...so honestly although I had karo winning i have no complaints about sanchez takin the decison due to the way he finished the fight
again, MMA decisions are crap...... I had Diego winning round 1 and winning round 3.....I thought Diego almost had Karo finished at the start of the first round, and I thought he did enough after that to hold on to that round.... BUT, agian, MMA and scorecards dont mix well
..... Swick is getting ready to be in the same position that Sanchez was. if he wins his next fight he is a legit top guy at 185.
I think Karo will be better than anyone on Swicks resume though, even assuming Swick gets past the crow....and diego doesnt have that ugly "L" yet That and 185 just aint 170
I think beating Louisseau is as good as beating Karo. In fact I don't think Swick will win that fight. Whether or not 185 is as good as 170 isn't all that relevant considering Sanchez hasn't fought the real top 3 or so guys. IMO Swick's win over Riggs is better than any of Sanchez's wins except karo.
Fair point on the Riggs win.....I agree about Swick not getting past Louiseadawesaeada....I just dont see Swick as championship material, I think Diego could be
In that sense the division is relevant:jester: Mainly because as you mentioned 170 is much deeper. I have a hard time seeing Diego beating the top few at 170. If Swick beats Louisseau there won't be much in the way of a title shot.
