Mas Oyama vs CroCop/Fedor put together

Since Mas Oyama annihilated people with single blows and killed angry bulls on the regular during his tea breaks without breaking a sweat, I guess the consensus is that he'd kill Fedor Emelianenko and Mirko CroCop both put together without any effort. 2 chops and they'd be done.
Am I overrating the phenomenon Mas Oyama? Or am I right on with my assessment?

Hey Hooks, did you ever happen to find Mas Oyama's professional fighting record? Just interested in the level and quality of his opposition. Reading about streetfights, one punch deaths, and killing bulls with single blows gets kinda boring.

But isn't it required in order to verify the legitimacy of one's true skill level? Or do we just judge him based on words and hearsay passed onward from disciples, students, friends, etc? So how can we know that he can compete with the likes of elite mma fighters if we don't know his record of professional fights? I'm not interested in his street fighting record or fights that took place inside his dojo.
I know for sure that based on what I'm reading of him, he is borderline superhuman. But a real fight record can set things in perspective I suppose.:nixweiss:

 

There are records of his fights the New York Times even has an article in the 50s of him taking on a boxer in MSG.

There is much more legit info on Oyama's fights then there is about Bruce Lee.

 

i dont give a fuck about his skill level either way. its like arguing that barry bonds would hit 120 homers a year if he played in the 30's....its stupid and irrelevant

According to who? Where's the photos? The footage? Was it a little 3 year old baby horse? Was the horse already dying? Was it an orchestrated stunt?

For someone who seems to be claiming a legitimate proven martial artist is a fraud, you sure do love you some Bruce Lee.

Mas did kill a man and went to court for it, and was acquitted due to the fact that it was sefl-defense. Bruce Lee supposedly got in 55464564 street fights and never lost, yet never got booked for assault?

Kimura (the only man the defeat Helio Gracie without Jiu-jitsu) said Mas Oyama was the only man he knew of who trained as hard as he did.

Guys like Kimura, and Andy Hug giving you props scores more points than Chuck Norris and Bob Wall...

And Jesus of Montreal you don't know what you're talking about. Mas Oyama trained Andy Hug, who claimed Mas was the greatest fighter he ever fought(Andy Hug defeated Mirko CroCop and Ray Sefo among others) He also created Kyokushin Karate, the only karate system to date that still regularly produces top stand up fighters (Bas Rutten for one)

But to answer the question...either CroCop or Fyodor take him out in one round in PRIDE.

I'm saying you are ignorant in suggesting Mas Oyama is a fraud. For someone who claimed to be a fan of MMA, you sure know nothing about one its earliest pioneers.

It is well documented he worked for a butcher and killed bulls by wrestling them down by the horns and killing them with punches.

Obviously it is a setup for T.V. but I don't see why the thought of him actually doing it was unbelievable...look at some of the other vids and you will see pictures of him fighting other bulls.

I don't see how you can call one of the most accomplished traditional martial artists of all time a fraud.

Pit, I dont think anyone will argue that Bruce's fame helped make MMA more popular, but to say Bruce invented MMA is lunacy. Is he responsible for the MMA boom? Maybe indirectly, yes, but did he invent it, no.
