Crocrop vs Vera

i think Crocrop would use his superior ring generalship and slowly pick vera apart from the outside...but still vera seems to have tremendous KO power

 

Cro Cop, quick and brutal, only because Vera hasnt proven he could hold up against a good striker, much less one of the elite strikers in the game...he doesnt deserve to be expected to survive in this one, not yet anyway

 

so you think vera should take on someone like Tim S first?

 

not what I'm saying at all. I just dont think Vera has done anything that would suggest he could handle EITHER one of those guys. He's talented as all fuck, but I wouldnt EXPECT him to do anything but get knocked out against an elite striker. Size isnt in his favor either, esp against Silvia. Cro Cop is much bigger than he was 3 or 4 years ago too.

Now, I wouldnt be too surprised if he won, as he is super talented, but I think you may be making him out to be a accomplished than what he is. The Frank Mir fight meant nothing. Frank has fought scared in his last couple of fights, and in my opinion is about as heartless as fighters can get. He wasnt gonna stand in there with someone as skilled as Vera who was just slinging em.

 

vera looked good, but he would get killed by crocop

 

Mir came in shape at least...he wasnt that fat slob we saw last time...and i'm not thinking vera can beat crocrop....i want to point that out..but as far as the UFC goes...where is vera supposed to go next...there aint jack shit at heavyweight.... after Silvia there is a tremendous drop off in heavyweights..i also think silvia is a weak champion..so yeah i think vera could take him or at least should be silvia's next defense

I'm a big time Vera fan, I think the kid has worlds of talent and is charismatic, but to think that he deserves to be given much of a chance against the elite is just being too generous. Does that mean I dont think he should get a shot, hell no, give him his title shot, and then he can realize that he should go down to 205 where he belongs. That or he shocks some folks and gives the UFC heavyweight division a shot in the arm

who is vera supposed to fight next at heavyweight if its not going to be Tim Silvia...after all you say he aint worthy enough.....they have fought 2 similar opponents and vera kicked their asses while silvia struggled with both...im talking about their fights with AUsserio and mir

There's no suggestion needed, he's fighting Sylvia next. We find out how legit Vera is in that fight.

 

Silvia is fine by me....fuck, just because I dont think he'll win, doesnt mean he cant fight him....I dont think Matt Serra has a snowballs chance in hell against St. Pierre, but I'm not picketting that one
