The Same Blarry that fought Hagler Vs Roy Jones at 160 ... Who wins ?? Very tight fight if you ask me ... :sportif3:
Blarry gets KTFO. Nothing close about it unless the debate is whether Gay Ray lives or lives another 20 years in a coma. Joke Junior would smoke Gayus Rayus so bad he would nver blink again and he would say Larry instead of Blarry.
Not so sure ... Roy never fought someone as fast and crafty as Blarry ... Blarry also pops out of no-where to land a bunch of shots ... That would confuse Jones ...
Blarry Gay Leotard was a welterweight. He is not a big guy. Roy iced fools at 160. I am no Joke Junior Fan, but I am confident Gay Ray couldn't run for 12 rounds and we are talking about the Blarry who ran from the big crybaby Hagler. That gay ray was needing gift stoppages to get by that Bum Howard. Jones via death.
I'm not so sure Roy could catch a coked up Blarry ... I'm telling you this fight would be close ... Blarry would make it real intresting ...
You could put a wild rabbit with cocaine attached to it and Blarry wouldn't be able to run fast enough from Joke Junior's punches. Your heart is in the right place. Nothing would be better than seeing these two idiots beat the holy shit out of each other, but Gay Ray is too small to last with Roy Jones. Besides, Roy is used to hunting down chickens. Blarry Gay Leotard would have no chance.
There'd be nothing interesting about it. The only real question would be is if Ray would hear the final bell. Ray's only advantage over guys at the higher weights was his speed, but against Roy that edge goes totally out the window. At 160 Roy would be just too big, fast, and powerful for Ray. P4P its a different story, but at 160 theres no way in hell Leonard wins.
Terry Norris was something like 4 years after the Hagler fight ... Since Hagler was Blarry's first fight at 160 , I used that as a reference. I think you guys are not giving him the credit he deserves here .. Ray just didn't have speed as one of his tools , he was also very smart and had a variety of suttle tools and advantages. Thats why he is considered great ... I doubt Roy blows him out .. I think this fight would be allot closer then what is being described in this thread ... Besides the Hopkins fight that went to a decision, Jones fought scrubs at 160 . If Leonard fought those same opponents at 160 , he would have looked like a killer as well .
Explain to me a scenario under which Leonard could win? He would be at a speed disadvantage, a power disadvantage and a reflex disadvantage.. Jones at 160 wouldn't stop Ray but he'd win a very lopsided decision..
Yeah, who was that other guy that stopped Ray in his prime? Oh, that's right, no one... If Hearns, Duran and Hagler couldn't do it. Roy ain't either..
Yeah, but who else stopped Thulani Malinga in his prime? Jones was a bad man and this HOF win proves it.
Tripleflagwaver who else stopped the great Jorge Vaca, according to a certain cum guzzler that is good. And please ever seen Gay/Howard. He was on queer street. Jones via death. Death I say.
Leonard had a lot of tools and intangibles, but that can only take you so far when you're outgunned. Leonard did have a variety of tools, but there's no doubt that his speed advantage was very important in his fight with Hagler. Hagler was aging, but Leonard himself wasn't what he once was either. He got tired pretty quickly, by round 5 or 6 or so. Sure he was using his legs more, but this is the same guy who took an absolute murdering to the body against Duran and still had a good amount of energy in round 15 and finished strong. Leonard's performances at 160 (and above) don't really show much to me that he could beat Jones. Not only the Hagler fight, but also against Duran and the rematch with Hearns (Tommy was slightly above 160, Ray was 160).
