Floyd Owns Oscar. Top Rank Owns Pacquiao. Marquez Owns Barrea. Not a good year for the Golden Girl.

That's when Mayweather is careless and doesn't respect his opponent's power. He will fight like he did Corrales, Castillo, Baldomir very WARY of exchanges. He will want to STINK out the joint.

but he won't be able to neutralize a quick-handed multi-dimensional fighter like ODH. and it's not like all three of those guys didn't land plenty of shots against PBF, although Corrales was pretty fucken ineffective, i have to say.

Man, I hope that will be the case.

If DLH is coming forward avoiding the lead right hand(which I think Mayweather will throw less of, counter lefthook) and jabs to the body, and TOUCHES Mayweather to the body and combos, and does that for the most of the rounds, he'll win a decision. For that he'll have to make Mayweather fight HIS fight and put a wrench on Floyd's ringgeneralship, so judges can't give him the round.

Better yet don't give Mayweather nothing to shoulder roll to. If eventhough WAITING he appears ACTIVE DLH will still LOOK like he is DICTATING.

If he ALTERNATES between the two styles and sets TRAPS for Mayweather, he could have him engage more than he wants to and get caught.

Think about how many shots Castillo landed on Floyd. If Oscar lands half that many Floyd may be in trouble.

Mayweather's offense will be anemic. If you watch him closely, he needs to be stronger than his opponent to get stuff done in close. That's why he couldn't be offensive against Castillo or Baldomir. But guys like Judah and Corley? He could man-handle them, turn em with his elbow, run em into shots - like he did Chavez. He can't do that against ODH. He'll be relegated to pot-shotting, which won't be adequate to win. It might save him from getting knocked out, but he won't win that way.

:nono: SERIOUSLY,...There should be an emergency clause, in the event of a fix. For example, if Double L loses the bet with Oscar throwing a suspiciously low amount of punches per round and virtually no left hooks. He can wear Reed's signature, up until a shocking flash announcement appears, of the two inlove, shaking hands, and excitedly announcing a new business venture. :nono: Uh!!!!!...Reed should then begin to serve equal time for the damages.

:nono: Best you make it an addition, just incase.

GBP wanted JMM to beat MAB. It's pretty obvious. I can't blame them either.

Oscar's footspeed when coming forward sucks. If he comes forward he losses. Floyd will beat him EASILY, that's Floyd's biggest advantage in this fight.

Agreed. I think he should only chase him in spots. Some of us have said all along the best thing for Oscar to do is to try to keep Floyd at the end of his jab and force Floyd to commit.

Probably so because ODLH isn't really an physical fighter or an infighter either. I know if I see ODLH plodding forward though he's not going to win this fight.

Oscar always seems to have an excellent game plan for every fighter before he even steps into the ring. We've seen him Work behind the jab, use lateral movement, or seek and destroy all depending on the opponent.

One thing he has never excelled at is making mid-fight adjustments. Not that he isn't capable of it. He did make some adjustments during the Vargas fight and a few others. However he usually goes in with a gameplan and tries to execute it from start to finish regardless of how it's working.

Mayweather on the other hand can switch gears on the fly.

One thing i'm curious about is seeing what (if any) affect having Roach in the corner will have.

In order to set TRAPS he'll have to ALTERNATE between going forward and giving Mayweather nothing to shoulder roll from.

If Mayweather is CONFUSED and gets caught, he loses.

Besides having shitty footspeed when Oscar comes forward he abandons his jab to much. I think he losses regardless, but if ODLH comes after Floyd it's an easier night for Floyd.

The ONLY way Floyd wins is by potshotting and running for 12 rounds.

    Oscar has surprising HAND speed.

Oscar isn't reckless and he isn't that aggressive. Oscar boxes smart for the most part. He isn't going to chase Floyd around like an amateur.

    ....

Yeah and when you have the faster hands and feet it's much easier to OUTBOX someone. ODLH has fast hands but his feet are not fast. Floyd should have no problems hitting ODLH and getting out of the way, especially if ODLH is coming forward like a mindless zombie as he does at times. I know you are DYING to see Floyd lose. It's not going to happen here though. :warning: FLOYD > Your heroes :tease:

BTW- This post was directed to fighter I see that Z snuck a post in.

Even if you watch him come forward against Mayorga his feet are slow. Of course Mayorga is a reckless amateur with shit tecnique so ODLH's handspeed was more than adequate to kill that guy.

Really my point is Oscar is smart, he isn't going to come in doing things to make Floyd's night any easier.

Oscar is a tape watcher and he always has a solid plan.
