Why use kicks against a guy whos 4 feet tall. You get off balance and he comes in from underneath. The jab would have served GSP better.

That's what makes GSP so much fun to watch... he kicks motherfuckers in the head.

 

Maybe he should think about softening muthafuckas up before doing his Van Dam kicks.

 

Maybe he thought serra would just stand there and eat all his strikes like hughes did.

 

GSP's biggest problem was that he didn't do anything to set-up his kicks. He should have done some jabbing or kicks to the body which would've created a better opportunity to land upstairs. He doesn't kick with same speed as Cro Cop, who can sometimes get away without much of a set-up, but even he needs to a majority of the time. GSP just kept kicking to the head hoping to catch Serra with his guard down. Hanzy is right in worrying about GSP's next fight, I think he might be really gunshy.

 

Damn, the GSP Bandwagon is emptying faster then the Arlovski Bandwagon did a year or so ago.

And a guy from Matt Serra's school used to train here with me in San Diego...Matt and his brother Nick run their jiu jitsu school, and Renzo shows up to help out from time to time...would love to train with Matt if I was ever in NY, but i get the feeling he isnt doing that much instructing anymore.
