Freitas is a bitch and needs to retire. He got his ass kicked near the end... And Diaz's face has welts on it. Which mean Freitas did land some hurting bombs, but in the end Freitas has no heart. What a bitch Freitas is. Freitas has no heart, quitter. It's disgusting when you see that Freitas face looks clean while diaz's face has welts on it. It's like Freitas has no heart

People can say what they want, but Diaz walked through Freitas' best and broke him down. Diaz may not be topshelf, but he has tons of guts and a great workrate!

No doubt. He is the best lightweight in the world. Julio Diaz, David Diaz/Erik Morales or Casamayor doesn´t matter.

As a psychiatrist, I have to take into consideration that Freitas has a trememndous physical stressor that's hard to reconcile with the level of comfort that he's used to (the Hagler "hard to get up and train when you sleep with silk sheets" etc).

    As a fight fan...WTF???!! :notallthere:

So he quit, that's not the end of the world...

HE WAS CARRIED ON THE SHOULDERS OF HIS CORNERMAN???

    What a pathetic display :cheer::doh:

Yup. He's growing into his own, proved his chin held up against a very solid puncher and refused to back down. Great win for him.

    Juan Diaz:

"I want to fight all the champs at lightweight"

"Bring on Casamayor, if he wants to fight bring him on"

"In the peoples eye once you have all 4 belts you are the champ"

"That would be a great fight(vs. Pacquiao) it will be the fight of my life, if he wants to do it, we can do it. They call him the mexican assassin and i'm mexican america, but deep down i'm a mexican"

I think Casamayor beats him. Just my two cents...but Diaz could prove me wrong. He has tons of heart and a good chin.

I think Casa loses to the Baby Bull...Casa's gotten a bit slower, his punches are wider, and he does just enough to lose against top talent...and I think at this stage of his career and age, a fighter of Diaz's style is anathema to him.

    Peace.

Casamayor is just as old as Freitas, Castillo and Corrales. Only shot he has is knocking out Diaz early with an accurate counterpunch. He doesn´t have the legs to keep Diaz off for twelve rounds either.

    Oscar De La Hoya:

"He is still the same little brat that i knew, nothing has change. It's always fun having HBO around"

"I'm not concer with Mayweather giving his son secrets, Roach is a great trainer he pushed me to my limit, i need to be at my best for Mayweather"

"It's all about your opponent getting under your skin, and doesn't get in your head, mission accomplish he got under my skin, it's all about working hard and getting ready for May 5"

"whatever he bring into the fight i will have to adjust,so does he"

    Floyd Mayweather:

"De La Hoya is a fighter with no personality, come May 5 it's blood sweat and tires for Oscar"

"Shane did help Oscar get ready for the biggest fight of his career. ALl those guys at Golden Boy are puppets. The show is about me, my lifestyle is flashy and flamboyant"

"Everyone had a gameplan for Floyd Mayweather but they don't work, you can throw the big left hook it's NOT going to work, i been here with big punchers"

You have to admire that kind of enthusiasm. He's a good interview and he doesn't quit: also known as pulling a Freitas. It kills me that Freitas was up on his cornermen's shoulders, smiling and giving high-fives. WTF? Does the man have NO shame?

He still has business to handle in his own division, and so does Pacquiao.

All I know is Pacquiao won't pull a bitch quit like Freitas. That was fucking shameful. :shit:

congrats to the baby bull. He proved that he's a tough kid. He still has a lot to learn. Freitas looked like like the better fighter in there, but Diaz's determination is unbelievable.

Freitas career is OVER. He had a good run, made millions. From sleeping on a cardboard to owning a house with a soccer field.

It was a GREAT ACTION fight. Freitas strategy was different from the expected. He stayed on the INSIDE from the opening bell with occasional normal movement. He could have out boxed him EASY if he had anything left in the tank. Even when he won the the title in 04 against Greporian, he wasn't the SAME fighter. He got :eek:ld: overnight.

I'm RELIEVED because as everyone knows from the start of this board, I thought Freitas was THE goods in longevity. Now no one will call me BIAS as in future fights I will call them as I see them.

I thought Diaz was good coming into tonight.

Honestly I didn't think Freitas would do that again...I'm sure he took some heat for the first quitting incident, even though I didn't think it was that bad (he had been down two or three times and would have been down again immediately)...but this time was just flat out quitting...and then celebrating afterwards - he better never be put on TV again.

I gotta wonder...where the hell did all of Freitas's punching power go?

Both looked bad, Freitas looked like he had no power at all and Diaz looked pedestrian and almost never went to the body except in the later rounds. Diaz got a bright future but I think he lose to Julio Diaz. As for Freitas, the first time I could understand it, but he proved that he was a pussy. He had no excuses to quit tonight. Average fight IMO, nowhere near great like the cheeleaders ( they're worse than Lampley ) made it out to be.
