Campbell? That could be interesting, but I'm learning towards "too old, and too slow" at the moment. Casamayor would give Diaz problems though.
Because he won't get it. Diaz is a big lightweight, and Pacquiao is a small Junior Lightweight. Unless Diaz is going to squeeze his fatboy body into 130, it isn't happening. Plus Pacquiao would stop Diaz. I only put Pacquiao on the poll for stupid people like you.:tease:
They are all tooo old, but who else Kid Diamond..he doesn't move enough Diaz will have fun with him...Julio Diaz..he lose/close fight vs. Manfredy when el diablo was shot and found god. DAvid Diaz isn't he fighting Morales...he might not make it out of that...
He might've come up from 112, but he's big at 130. He looked just as big as Morales in their last fight.
Julio Diaz has changed as a fighter since then, but I agree I don't see him beating Juan... it would be close though. I think the winner of Guzman - Katsidis should be considered too.
Looked. The last time Juan Diaz weighed 112 was when he was 8 years old. Pacquiao weighs in 1-2 pounds under the 130 pound limit regularly. He could make featherweight if he wanted to.
I think Casamayor. He is the OFFICIAL champion of the division and has not lost in the RING. As a manager, it is probably the best fight for him from a money-risk analysis perspective.
James Toney fought 1 or 2 pounds below the middleweight limit when he fought there. Does that mean he was a small middleweight?!?!?!?
dsimon writes: I don't know who Diaz should fight next but he looked seasoned. Not so much of the aimless grunting. He was accurate and methodical. His distancing and ability to measure Freitas was impressive. I think he could be impressive against Pacman if they fought at a catch weight. I don't think Diaz is ready for Juan Manual though. That woul be a great fight for JM to take because he would perform surgery on Diaz.
For potential fireworks- Kid Diamond For being honest and fighting the best- Joel Casamayor Something tells me that they wont be fighing Casa anytime soon though.
Stupid. When Langford was at Lightweight they were still doing same day weigh-ins. In today's sport he would've been a welterweight or jr. middleweight. Fact, Pacquiao is a more truer featherweight.
I think he'd beat Manny Pacquiao. Manny is powerless if he can't hurt somebody. It would be a great fight. I hope he doesn't fight Casapeor. Casa should be frozen out. He stinks, he holds, he is dishonest, dirty, etc. I like both of them though. That is the only reason I don't want to see them fight.
I wouldn't fight Casa if I was Juan. Even if he wins it won't be impressive and will be anything but a crowd pleaser. I'd fight another Diaz, pick one, and put it on a card with another top Mexican Matchup.
Diaz is good but I think he's going to be heavily overrated based on a win against sloppy, shot, no-heart Quitas. I can't wait until his next fight against a solid guy, the betting odds should be primed for an economic windfall. This reminds me of when Arce was beating guys like Rosendo Alvarez, and Makepula, good guys who were probably too long in the tooth and how everyone overrated him to the point he was a heavy betting favorite against Mijares.
Casamayor would win an ugly elbowesque and headbuttesque UD, but I can see Juan winning by close MD too
Lightweight is full of solid B class fighter ( they all have obvious flaw ) but I doubt there's a A class fighter in there ( maybe Guzman, but if he is, he should take Kastsidi with ease ). Juan vs Kid D. would be the best fight to be made at the moment, but I doubt Diaz people would make it.
In his prime, he was 180 pounds. Further, even when he did fight in the 150s, he had such a big punch that he frequently knocked out heavyweights. A fighter with that big a punch doesn't waste his time fighting welterweights.
Different era, different times. Fighting for the World "Colored" Heavyweight Title of the world and knocking out 180-200 pound heavyweights is different than fighting for the Heavyweight championship of the modern era. Still, Langford is one of my favorite old time fighters from what I've read of him. He fought 10 years too long though, and ruined his physical health because of it. ld:
He can't beat any of them. He's the great mexican hype. OMG, he beat a quitter  Diaz has some man titties. He needs to stop eating so many damn tacos, eating tacos against better fighters then freitas will cost him.
Don't pretend you know shit. Bill Tate was as big as Wladimir Klitschko. Sam McVey was 220. So was Jim Johnson. George Godfrey was fucking huge. So was Harry Wills. The guys holding the Colored World Heavyweight Championship were at least as good as the losers we have holding WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO titles.
