boxing is dying thanks to idiots who think DLH could have won. The HBO propaganda was sickening tonight. I sat and watched the fight with people who picked Oscar and will verify that he got schooled.

The biggest DLH apologists could give him 5 rounds if they tried, 2 or 3 if they didn't.

    Floyd won clearly

It was a close round, sure. Didn't mean to imply it wasn't.

Problem I have is that DLH did well for the first 50 seconds....after the 2:10 mark; other than two clean jabs he lands around 1:46, it is PBF landing looped rights, some hard clean body shots, jabs, and at least two left hooks around the guard....not to mention a clean uppercut/right hand combo at center ring.

DLH has the first 50 seconds, then two flurries at about 30ss and at the very end of the round....and the one at 30ss really doesn't land much clean at all.

Thus it comes down to the first 50 seconds....and the flurry at the end of the round.

In between the ending shots, PBF counters clean to the body. So...

But if I give that round to DLH, I'd STILL have it 116-112 for PBF.

    :dunno:

    Peace.

LATIN QUEER you lost your right to call anyone STUPID when it comes to boxing when you said the following:

    Commenting on the Arce-Mijares fight
    Commenting on the Pacquiao-Solis
Commenting on the Bautista - Medina fight

You calling someone stupid about boxing is like a fat guy telling someone to go on a diet.

this is what I don't understand. going into the fight most knew Oscar was old and most thought he was overrated. Yet Floyd beats him in a boring decision and somehow it's impressive.

I picked Floyd to beat him because he was suposed to. He did but I wasn't impressed. For all the shit he talked and how much he craved a fight like this he could have done better. He should have.

at about 2:30 Floyd lands a left hook that makes DLH turn around and start to back up for the next 15 seconds.

    when did Floyd get buckeled?

What the fuck are you talking about? I had Floyd 115-113. Still, I thought it was a pretty close fight. But what can I expect from you anyway? That's always black or white with you.

Like it or not, Mayweather is one of the best we've seen in a LONG time. I mean look at the resume....

    Oscar De La Hoya
    Arturo Gatti
    Zab Judah
    Sharmba Mitchell
    Carlos Baldomir
    Diego Coralles
    Jose Luis Castillo x2
    Genero Hernandez
    Demarcus Corley

That's a hell of a list of victories. There is no one 154 or under that can beat this guy, hope that he fights again, because this guy will go down in history.:bears:

Not all of us who think Floyd won handily care about punchstat numbers. Floyd's punches were clean and he showed aggression in the middle of the ring. Oscar did a good job but was pretty much outclassed.

there were some close rounds. But Floyd won 8 rounds clear. I gave him the 12th since he won the first 2:30 and outlanded DLH cleanly. If Oscar wins that round for what he did in the last 15 seconds then none of you idiots know how to score a round...at all

outclassed? are you sure you know the meaning of the world? Oscar blocked so many punches it was crazy. Even Steward said Floyd can't find a way to get past Oscar's defense.

im using them as proof. If that doesn't work, how bout actually watching the fight.

Floyd controlled the action. Floyd outlanded him cleanly throughout the night. Oscar looked foolish when he tried to be aggressive.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. "Well if you go by who threw the most punches, you have to give it to Oscar."

That must be the stupidity that clowns on here are using.

Steward also said Floyd wasn't a great fighter because great fighter's go for a KO.

This is great. Its good to use guys like Steward and Mayweather Sr. who have verbal diarrhea to make points. I know you hate Floyd, I've watched a fight with you involving him.

Do you think Gatti beat Mayweather too?
