I thought Oscar was hurt a couple times (I was SHOCKED). Especially in the fifth, when Floyd landed successive rights. Watch again: Oscar gets rocked by the first right and doggedly continues to attack. The second right badly wobbles him - he immediately grabbed Floyd and didn't throw a punch for the next 15 seconds.

Saturday's bout tells me Oscar has slipped way more than I thought. Unless Floyd hits that hard. The man has 24 KO's through four divisions. I felt the Reyes gloves could possibly help him instead of hurt him - he'd have a lot more KO's if he used them more.

    The 10 dollar answer is:

Mayweather, made him uncomfortable throwing the jab. It's one thing to watch it on TV (or from ringside) and say "throw the jab"...it's another thing to be in that ring and be thrown off by the way the opponent is feinting, moving and counterpunching.

It's not as easy as it looks.

Floyd doesn't hit that hard, I think it was just well-timed and even guys who aren't big punchers can hurt you when it's very well-timed.

Also, Floyd hurt Oscar to the body briefly in round 11.

Stamina could have been part of it but i think Oscar really wanted to rough Mayweather up and hurt him. So instead of using the jab to set things up, he followed Mayweather around like an idiot. A lot of us said before the fight if he did that he would lose.

Floyd hits harder than people give him credit for. Remember he was the frst man to floor Corrales...and he did that 5 times. Even Castillo said after the first fight that Floyd hits pretty hard.

WHY couldn't this have gone in one of the other dozen Oscar-Floyd THREADS???
