Just back to the boards now ....

I had Oscar up 115/113 and that was being generous to Floyd with 1 round .... If I wanted to be a dick , then 116/112 ...

You can't give a guy points for punching AIR ....
If a punch stops 4 inches before its intended target , THAT IS NOT A FUCKIN POINT ...

I also thought Oscar did a tremendous job at blocking ...
He picked off Mayweathers punches with his gloves like it was a turkey shoot ...

"Air Mayweather" hit glove and air all night long .....
Why the hell did the other 2 judges give him points for that crap ??
Only one of the judges seen the fight for what it really was ...

I loved that one exchange when Oscar made Mayweather look like a complete amature , standing right in front of him , Mayweather throws 6 punches and Oscar avoided all of them without even moving away ..

This fight should really prove , all this Mayweather hype should really stop.
    It's ridiculous ....

Oscar fought well and it was a competitive fight, but Mayweather still landed the cleaner shots and deserved the win.

It was a good defensive effort on both sides. Floyd more with his slipping and Oscar with his parrying. Offense, well, that's another story.

Actually, it's your anti-Floyd arguments that should stop and that are ridiculous.

Floyd did not impress, his offense was mediocre, but claiming Oscar won "hands down" is insane.

BTW, I've asked you several times to name 10 guys who rank higher at 130 to support your claim of "Mayweather not being top 10 ever at 130"...where's your list?

Mayweather THREW more punches .... However saying he landed cleaner is almost laughable ....
Mayweather hit air and Oscars gloves all night long .... He landed like 4 clean shot the whole fucking fight ....

You should re-watch and count all the glove shots and count the punches that were air punches ...
Maybe if you consider a jab thats picked off by Oscars glove a point , if that is you scoring method then I could understand ..

I completely agree with the sentiment on DLH's defense and believe he blocked way more punches than he's getting credit for on these boards.

I had it 7-5 for Mayweather.

No, I asked you to name ten guys ranked higher than Floyd at 130 several times.

    You never responded.

Only Tam and Rubio came with a list.

The best I could see is a draw for Oscar...

With that said, I thought Floyd won the fight. He won his rounds more decisively than Oscar.

De La Hoya did a good job of parrying. I was pretty impressed.

However, his offense was even worse than Floyd's was.

I thought Floyd threw more but , if you watch the fight with a few exceptions here and there he was hitting glove and air ...

Perhaps he just looked busy and thats what gave a winning impression ...:dunno:

Floyd threw less punches than Oscar.

Floyd was more accurate, although that's not saying much, as both guys did excellent jobs on defense.

i'll have to watch it again. you might be right. either way, ODH made it much harder on himself than it had to be, and i think if he had been smart about it he could've won relatively easily. i know that sounds stupid. because if a fighter could win relatively easily, why would he elect not to. "that's what i'd like to know about."

Oscar threw more punches than Floyd. He also missed more punches than Floyd.

In my recap of the fight I said that Oscar didn't get enough credit for parrying Mayweather's punches. His high guard and parrying skills were on point.

I also said that Oscar missing punches over the top were more dramatic than his picking off shots with his gloves. To the untrained eye, it could have appeared that Floyd landed a lot of shots which were really picked off by Oscar. I also said I thought Mayweather's late lefthhoks and right hands were slaps.

With that said, if you had the fight even after 8 rounds, I don't understand how Oscar could have won the fight. I thought Floyd won rounds 9, 10 & 11. Even if you gave Oscar the 12th, he would have needed a KO to win.

I asked you four times to name 10 guys that should rank above Floyd at 130.

All you kept saying was "what bout greats? what about greats" without naming ten guys.

Not you to CYC? Please tell me this is a cruel joke and Petre implanted an RDIF chip in the back of your head.

Oscar parry'd a lot of shots but he also got hit with plenty of flush shots. I was waiting for Oscar to hit Floyd flush all night and it just didn't happen more then once or twice.

I had 50 bucks at stake in a pool based on Oscar getting a decision. I also had 50 bucks on a draw. I didn't deserve to win either outcome.

According to Compubox, Oscar threw more.

I don't trust Compubox when it comes to accuracy of punches landed at all (Floyd didn't land 200 punches and Oscar did not land 120 or so), but punches thrown I do.

I gave you a full explaination . A list does not change my explaination.
To give you a list that I felt was a good representation will take some time . I can not do that right now ..
But again , my explaination is how I feel on that issue so you should be able to understand what I was saying .. No ??

I think you may have a chip implanted that tells you when you hear the sound of two gloves touching together , that means its a point for Mayweather ...

................and when Oscar throws a Manuel Medina like arm flurry in the last 10 seconds of every round, that means he must have won it despite landing zero punches in the process? :dunno:

Damn, I was rooting for Oscar but it would have been a travesty if he got the decision.

CYC also had Judah winning or drawing with Mayweather. He hates Floyd, a feeling I also share but IMHO, Floyd clearly won both fight. Still, the DLH fight was damn close, I had it 115-113 and I can't see DLH winning the fight but with a few beer and a good bias, I can see someone scoring it for DLH. Keep it up CYC, my guess is that you'll provoke another war.:bears:
