I was watching ABS-CBN yesterday and Bob Arum came on to my surprise. It was pretty cool to see Arum wearing traditional clothing of the P.I.

Bob Arum spoke in General Santos City where Manny Pacquiao is currently campaigning for Congress in the P.I.

He said that a fight with Marquez (the one we all want) would be difficult to get because of the current problems with GBP and more importantly Marquez doesn't have a fanbase and is demanding ridiculous money for a potential fight with Manny. Keep in mind Marquez is a fighter who once fought for $30,000 and traveled to Indonesia to avoid Manny in a rematch.

But he did say that Sycuan Promotions is interested in putting Guzman into the ring with Manny, all the details aren't worked out yet of course but their have been meetings.

Edwin Valero is also being looked at as a potential opponent, but it would have to be outside of the U.S. I like this one because of the raw power involved.

Humberto Soto is being looked at, but he needs to get past Bobby Pacquiao.

MAB may be considered if he leaves GBP as he has claimed he might.

I think out of those potential four, Valero and Guzman seem to be the best options. I think Valero is too raw to have more than a puncher's chance. Guzman would be difficult but I think fatboy has overrated power, and would get manhandled after finding out he can't choose his spots to "shoe shine."

p.s - Any second now, LATIN QUEER is going to bust into this thread (he's a big Manny lover) and start spouting nonsense. If he does, just remember, he has posted gems like this in the past:

On Jorge Arce vs Mijares (Arce went on to get his ass kicked)
On Solis's chances against Pacquiao (Solis was KTFO)
On Rey Bautista's chances against Medina (Medina did well but got his ass kicked losing a wide decision)
This guy knows absolutely nothing about boxing.

Pacquiao-Marquez 2 definitely I want to see. It should have happened 2-3 years ago.

I want to see a Barrera rematch. I wonder if Barrera can make the proper adjustments to win a rematch.

Proper adjustments= paying off the judges, referee, removing the padding from his gloves, drugging Pacquiao.

Pacquiao would maim Barrera again and Jim Lampley would cry on the air, again.

Barrera is a great fighter but I think Pacquiao is all wrong for him. Plus Barrera is slipping at his age after all the tough fights.

I would be dissapointed if Pacquiao fought Barrera again. It's a big money fight and all so I can see why Manny's team would want to have a rematch, but from a boxing fan's view, there's other fights I'd much rather see before that one.

I think MAB-Pacquiao would probably do the best PPV figures. But in terms of what means more, I think Valero or Guzman would be the best matchups.

I'm excited by the prospects of both.

Valero. End of thread. He already humiliated and dominated MARQUEZ AND Barrera. No need for a rematch. Marquez got a gift draw and he is happy with it.

I agree. Fagquez was on the floor and had plenty of time to think about it. I just want Faquez to get bounced off the canvas 3 more times so LATIN QUEER can go ahead and kill himself. He's right on the edge as it is.

It would be nice if these super feathers fought a legit super feather. With all due respect to Manny, the Barrera victory was when, four years ago? Since then, he's fought Morales 3 times, drawn with Marquez (in a fight he woulda lost via WIDE UD if not for an incredible first round), and beaten a slew of overmatched, smaller opponents. And he's been rocked a few times. What happens if a natural super feather, someone like Humberto Soto, rocks him?

Here's to hoping that fight goes down.

Manny himself is not even a legit superfeather. He could make featherweight with ease.

Since Barrera he fought Larios, Morales x3, Solis (who was obviously bigger), and Fagquez. Morales, Solis, and Velasquez were ALL legit 130 pounders. I don't know where you get off saying he's fighting "smaller" guys. He was the first one to KO Morals and Solis. As for Fagquez , Yawn was lucky to get a draw.

who is obsessed with who? Look at your sig and avatar! Jesus Christ:lol:

MAB might be a bigger draw than JMM but why knock JMM for not making the fight when MAB has had more time to make the rematch happened. Not to mention JMM just beat MAB.

VAlero is a fun fight but he is so unproven.

By the way when did MAB say he might leave GDB? or did ARum just said it just beacause.

Honda who promotes Valero not to long ago said VAlero wouldn't fight Pacquiao this year, that he needed at least 3 fights this year before that one. All of a sudden that changed?

Guzman just injured himself and was already gonna fight at 135.

Again Arum spits all this bullshit and Bama girls swallows it like it's Pacquiao releasing his fluids.

Manny will end up fighting Soto not because he is the best fight available but because he is a Top Rank fighter and because he will soon beat the hell out of bobby and that will justify another meaningless PPV according to ARum.

Candelo is twice as exciting as your gay little Asian lover. Did Candelo get caught with some Asian tranny's tongue in his ear?

that would be fun. I heard Valero's next fight might be in the US but he has to get medical clearance first.

If his next fight is for as much cash as he can make, MAB. (he may want to make this, MAB won't be around too much longer.)

If it is personal for him it could be JMM.

If he wants the toughest fight out there currently for him, I think its Guzman.

I really like Soto. I don't mind Pacquiao/Marquez II if it has to happen... but after that, I wanna see Pacquiao vs. the guys of TODAY.

Ah LATIN QUEER has arrived. All you have to say is Pacquiao and this jealous queer comes running into the thread to spread his Manny love all over the thread.

First off, Valero said he wants Pacquiao and that's the biggest fight for Valero. Valero is just waiting to get exposed he knows he has to cash in now or never.

Guzman is not injured, only an idiot would think he's "injured". The reason his fight with Katsidis was cancelled is because he can't make fucking weight because he is a fat body who doesn't take his career seriously.

But at least he wasn't caught on camera playing rub back mountain with a small asian man like Yawn Fagquez was.

Comparing Yawn Queerquez to Pernell and Leonard?

I doubt Pernell or Leonard would get put on Queerstreet by Freddie Norwood.

    Yes they were.

I think HBO should do a 24/7 for the Pacquiao-Fagquez rematch so we can see how these guys train. Here's my guess for how Fagquez trains.

    6am-8am - Jogging/Road Work
    8am-9am - Breakfast
9am-10am - Deep tissue massage from Johnny Chan
10am-12pm - Non-ejaculatory sex (to get all the tension out), suggested by Oscar Dela Hoya
    12pm-1pm - Nap
1pm-4pm - Nude Steam room session with conditioning coach Johnny Chan to cut weight
    4pm-6pm - Sparring
6pm-8pm - Footrub session and then nude hot tub meeting to discuss "strategy"
