This is one matchup thats bad for Manny. Nelson had the toughness to handle Manny's attack, and the skills, accuracy, and power to break him down. Nelson by UD or late KO.
I like Pacquiao via KO. Nelson had trouble with everybody he fought. Pacquiao is ever bit as aggressive as Fenech, but bigger, stronger, quicker and hit harder. He'd take Nelson out.
Nelson had trouble with anyone with a "bit" of movement and speed (Pea, Grove, etc) and Manny would be there all night with power shots. I like the Fenech comparison. There's not a lot bad to say about the Professor, but I see him succumbing to a beating somewhere around the 11th ala MAB.
Easy win for Nelson. He'd outsmart dumbass Pacquiao easily. Pacquiao sucks after round six; imagine how he'd do in a 15-round bout with Azuma Nelson!
Sucks after round six? :: KO's of Morales, Barrera, Ledwaba, Hussein, Solis and Sasakul all after that point. You suck, Zac.
It's not an easy win for Nelson, hell, he may even lose their first encounter. But as you all know, 'The Prof' makes up for in the rematch....brutally. If Nelson can take Wilfredo Gomez' and Salvador Sanchez' shots for 12 and 15 rounds, then he handles Pac's too. Even if he puts down Nelson (which he wouldn't), he'd have to keep him down - and as you all know, Pac has trouble keeping guys down. Remember, as good as Pacquiao is, he has made his name by beating up aging 122lb Mexican warhorses at higher-weights. :nono:
Nelson didn't handle Sanchez' shots. He went down multiple times and wound up finished. Pacquiao punches harder than either man. Azumah was a pretty tough dude, but Juan LaPorte bounced him around the ring whenever he let his hands go. Jeff Fenech hurt him. The dude he punched in the throat hurt him. Leija hurt him and dropped him. Ruelas hurt him. As good as Nelson was, he made his name by bashing 122 and 118 pounders, at higher weights, and losing when the shoe was on the other foot.
Yeah that's actually impressive given the fact that Pacquiao himself was a 112 pound warhorse for a large part of his career. ::
Bah - that's what Simes always used to say about Naseem Hamed when we got onto his case back on SO.com! Always played the 'but he's a little bantamweight!' card!!! :nono: ::
Simes also said Haveeb would destroy MAB. Simes is a cool guy but he knew shit about styles. I never wanted to throw acid in his face either.
But, he did totally drop off the face of the planet when his boy got crushed. I've never seen anything like that on these forums since.
That's stupid. Pacquiao was never a warhorse at 112. He was a young kid who was in the top 10 for a few months before being beaten out of the division.
So what? Lennox Lewis destroyed Michael Grant when no one had done that before. Pacquiao was a one-hit-wonder at 112, and was beaten out of the division like the overrated faggot he is.
You're the overrated faggot, Zac. You actually have a couple of fans around here. Hell, the guy you're arguing with is one of them. None are warranted.
I'm not a fan of Zac, but I think he's pretty entertaining. Where areas I think you're an uptight guy with sand in his vagina, I think Zac is a guy who probably types while he has a plastic tube tied around his left arm. I did think that the tiff between you and Karl in smacktalk was sort of entertaining though, that redeemed you slightly.
btw P4P Sasakul would destroy Michael Grant. Even straight up without P4P, I think Sasakul would put Grant on the canvas at least twice.
You should stop by Boxrec's Classical forum sometime. Hawk and his bretheren don't post there, and aside from the idiots, it's not bad. I don't even troll that much.
I didn't know he rated Kid Choclate, I do know he thinks Tim Sylvia is a top rated striker. where do you rate Tommy Watson?
No biggie. Hopefully he likes it there. He's a pretty cool guy and the plan is to try and just offer what he can do the ammy's on site.
