Yes he's good. Not great but he has some skill, can take a punch. He's on the downside of his career but there's no doubt in my mind that he'll make Hatton work.

He's a fighter that stands in front of you, can block and slip punches, trade but doesn't punch very hard. He's pretty slick. I think he can emulate Castillo's style but he's smaller and weaker.

No, nothing like Castillo. He's quicker then Castillo but Castillo punches much harder. Maybe Hatton is going to use Forbes to work on his speed and maybe try to outbox Castillo.

Either that or he's going to use Forbes to work on cutting off the ring, catching Castillo in the corner and dry humping him into submission.

antithesis....Forbes weighed 2oz when born. Castillo on the other hand went straight into the bantamweight divison.

I wonder if Castillo's going to move backward against Hatton, IMO, he has the strenght and the will to stand try to outbox Hatton at close quarter. Forbes can surely move, but I don't think they hired him because of that. I think they hired him because he's well schooled and is a pretty good in fighter when he wants to.

Well, I think it comes down to.................if you can get a sparring partner of the quality of Forbes you take him, whether he matches up stylistically with Castillo or not.

I'm sure he'll have some bangers in camp to make up for it, even if they're not well known.

this is the guy ODH should've sparred in preparation for Mayweather. but to prepare for Castillo? i don't see it. doesn't make any sense if you ask me. yes, Forbes can fight inside. but he's nothing like Castillo.

I can't wait to see Hatton get hit with left hooks. It's going to be beautiful. I just hope the 10oz gloves don't take too much of the steam out of the shots.

It will be interesting to see how Castillo deals with his opponent trying to dry-hump him. Hopefully, he will punish Hatton.

Hatton is going to get raped, sodomized and sent back to humpsville England with a taco in his ass.

My friend was supposed to spar w/ Hatton, but they decided to reject him at the last minute. He was in three camps w/ Castillo and would've been able to better emulate his style than will Stevie Forbes.

The reason they passed on him was because he's 1 1/2" taller than Castillo and they were worried about his jabbing from a greater height than will be the case on fight night. I told them that if their main concern is Castillo's jab, then Ricky already lost the fight.

Any way I found that excuse to be funny, since my friend is as much taller than Castillo as Forbes is shorter. And as said here and elsewhere, Stevie is probably the last person you'd pick to emulate Castillo's style.

No. Viv doesn't go to anyone's camp as a sparring partner. Besides, he's presently training for a fight w/ Junior Witter, though the date is still TBA.

The friend I was talking about is Luis Galarza

Hey Jake, how sure a thing is this - Vivian Vs Witter? To be honest, I am no Harris fan, but I hope he knocks Witter the fuck out. I can't stand "The Shitter".

IT's a sure thing. It was going to go to purse bids, but the two sides agreed to terms, just not on a date. I'm almost positive it will be in England, as one of Viv's concerns was how he would get paid and it affecting his taxes, since he got raped financially the last time he fought overseas.

Obviously I'm rooting for a Viv knockout (or at least a win), but I don't share quite the same disdain for Witter as everyone else.

does anyone have any idea, or suggestions, on how Castillo could deal with Hatton's illegal humping?

i really think his only chance is to solicit the referee's intervention before the fight, saying, "what am I supposed to do if he starts holding me all the time? you gonna take points away or what?"

Please God forever rid this bum Hatton from my tv set.
