Wasn't the first one a let-down financially? whatever happened to: Octavio Lara, Kronk wunderkind? bit of a disappointment you'd think Lonnie Bradley - I don't know his story actually, what happened? Omar Weis - fringe contender to domestic bum in a few short steps, what happened?! Juan Valenzuela - seemed destined to fight Cotto, then there was an eye problem (?), was that it? Any more?
The fight with T-Rex was a dissapointment. Apparently the fans thought an exhibition fight was supposed to be like Rocky IV or something.
You might be thinking about Lamar Parks. Bradley was forced to retire in '97 due to a detached retina, as noted by NobleArt. He attempted a comeback in '03. He was supposed to fight ArturoGatti's (the poster, not the fighter) boyfriend, Epifanio Mendoza, but Mendoza broke his hand while hitting the pads in the dressing room 1/2 before the fight :: They then matched him with David Lopez two months later. Bradley got his ass kicked, getting stopped I think in the 8th or 9th round. I don;t believe he's fought since then. Very nice guy, was a decent fighter in his day, Top 10 middleweight during the mid 90's who had potential to be at least Top 5. As for the original question, Tyson's first and only exhibition fight of the aborted tour was a financial disaster that was poorly attended, and purchased on PPV by about 10 people. Further proven a week later, when Kelly Pavlik sold out the very same arena.
