Hey Tucker, I hope you don't "tuck" your tail behind your legs after all these attacks, We're cool with pro boxers, just ignore the negative vibes, weather the storm and stay here. You're very welcome, really. I will be rooting for you and all fightbeat.com's pro fighters :bears:

You have a good attitude in dealing with this occasional adversity and I am sure this will translate in the ring. :blobbox:

TEAM TUCKER AND FIGHTBEAT.COM HAVE DECIDED THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL MAKE UP YOUR MIND IS SEEING THIS KID IN ACTION.

Gerald has agreed to give FightBeat an exclusive and show one of his gold medal performances. So unless you are going to give this kid some real advice wait until we get the tape and make an informed decision if he's the real deal or not.

    Thanks Team Tucker

Hello Gerald. Good to have you here. Best of luck, are any of your pro fights available to view?

I think perhaps you need to be a little comprimising on the manager deal front. I may be wrong, but at this stage you might be hard pushed to get a signing deal and that much in monthly expenses.

    What are those expenses for?

I look forward to cupey's video :bears:

Actually, the poster's jibes and attacks may come in handy if Tucker does make it into the big-league and face off with some cocky, mouthy little jerk who speaks more pre-fight than he actually fights....

We have a few bandwaggon fans that will jump on yours, but right now as harsh at Mike sounded, he´s right. You had a six year lay-off, you are out of shape, you had a draw against a scrub you tried to hide, and you expect people to invest money in you, because you were a good amateur. Other fighters were good amateurs, too. They actually won real World Championship or Olympic gold medals and didn´t turn into anything as professionals.

Good luck, but you should be more honest about your whole situation, if you want to find a manager you can trust and that can trust you. I don´t want to get into your personal situation, but you better be honest about it, why you stepped out of a game, you claim you are so good at that it could have made you millions, due to a family crisis that lasted six years.

Good luck with everything. You have the credentials, but the 6 year hiatus will make things difficult. Re-prove yourself a bit, and you're right back in it!

Getting a manager isn't easy. Getting one with a signing bonus is difficult as well. Hopefully all goes well.

Getting a manager to take care of your expenses for a minute isn't that far-fetched; expecting a signing bonus of any kind at this stage of your career is, never mind 44K.

Best of luck to you. Let us know when you officially return to the ring.

sorry to break this to you but no manager will give you this amount

I know of quite a few champs, contenders, and regular TV fighters who do not make the 87k you are asking for per year.

also what you claim as far as a million dollar fight I don't think is fathomable even if you fast track your career.

    look at some facts:

    1) you are 28 so within the 1st year in order for your to get even close to a title shot, with your current 5-0-1 record, you would have to fight more than once a month to get a record people would acknowledge. Even at that unbelievable clip my guess is it would be against soft touches so it would be very hard to break through the top 10 ranking. In two years, which is your time table, you would have to fight about 18-20 times. Unless you are giving the 30% per fight I don't see anyone who would go near what you are asking for

    2) the division you want to be in (135 and 140) isn't exactly teaming with million dollar purses and even then only the very top or very marketable fighters get close to that much (Casa, Juan D, Hatton, maybe JL Castillo).

    3) going back to point 1 who is keeping the purses of the fights in between your goal of a million dollar fight. If you are giving 30% after someone signs you maybe I can see something there but even then I know of only two fighters around your division who got signing bonuses worth more than the 260K investment you are asking for and both of them have either been a belt holder or a title contender.

if you seriously come off those numbers I know of a few managers who can give you some advise maybe even oversee the early part of your career then rethink long term.

Now that is what you call a constructive post.

Calling someone fat, stupid, or an idiot is just childish, you guys (mike, dickpimpel) could learn from this guy.

How about a bunch of us here at Fightbeat all chip in a few bucks, and we'll sponser you at a Tough Man Competition? Then we'll see where it goes from there.

I've never been a heavy drinker. Most of the guys I know who are heavy drinkers (and women too) have saggy pot bellies. That's disgusting to me. I do 500 situps a night to maintain my flat stomach, and I'd probably cut myself if I ever had a pot belly.

Hookers tend to be dirty and filthy. I could never make love to a woman who peed in the back of a liquor store every night.

As for Cocaine, you better talk to Rubio HIV about that, he's the resident druggie on these boards.

Not even funny. Why would someone who won gold at the Pan-Ams fight in Tough Man?

Go back to defending the Shock Jocks who make racial slurs. It's more your forte.

At this point, Tough Man Contests are a hell of a lot more realistic then a $44K signing bonus and the other cash he's looking for.

you don't need a million just some decent connections, some mentoring, some cash to be able to help young fighters pay their costs, some luck, an eye for talent etc.

personally I am trying to break into it but trying to do it as correct as I can by mentoring with some good managers around where I live. Been working as a mediator to get people to connect to each other, handling the sparring of one fighter going into camp as we speak, looking for sparring for another already in camp.

all these things help get you experience and in the long run help you prepare to handle your own fighter's career. Even if it means they will be career journeymen/sparring partners they can still make decent dough doing that.

The kids just trying to market himself and drum up interest. I don't think even he is serious about the numbers he threw out. If it can get people talking he's done what he set out to do and maybe he'll get a few paydays along the way.

Yeah, I agree. And the stupid hyperbole about having one of the greatest am records in history was harmless. Lying about the draw on his record is what I found pathetic. Alabama_douchebag's unapologetic felatio on Tucker's behalf is what has really been amusing in this thread, though.
