It looks bad...but not bleeding much....but Griffin keeps picking it with his gloves..and then Johnson targets it with his right hand..and it starts bleeding...

Johnson comes out in round 8..for the KO..he is throwing that jab with power..and loading up on the right hand...but not looping it..throwing it straight down the middle....

So does Glen. He was dead on his feet in the 12th against Woods and he cannot really step on the pedal here to stop Griffin.

Johnson on the verge of a stoppage...and as soon as I type this, Griffin's corner stops the fight.

    Great win for Glen.

Montell Griffin clearly isn't what he once was. Still, having said that, I'm surprised at how easily Johnson handled him.

If Johnson and Hopkins were to rematch at 175...I may be tempted to pick Glen, just based on activity alone.

Johnson is a true road warrior....he is live dog against anyone at 168-175...

Griffen just doesn't have it anymore. His reflexes are all slowed down and his style doesn't seem to work . More than anything, his offense has suffered. He couldn't land shit on Glen except looping glancing shots. He couldn't land the counters at all. Too slow on the trigger.

I think this was actually a hometown fight for him. He deserved at least one of these before his career was over.

Would you pick him against Mayweather, though?

isn't Woods fighting Gonzalez? Johnson's not gonna fight him again. I won't be surprised if Julio beats Woods. Should be a good fight either way.

I hope Dawson and Johnson fight. But if Johnson is smart he'll stay away and go after the Winky/Hopkins winner, or maybe pussy Calzaghe will step up and fight a real guy. You never know.

According to the scorecards, anyway. Fight was closer than the scores suggested, though Woods certainly deserved to win.

But that said, I expect an easier go of it this time. Not sure how Gonzalez managed to position himself for a rematch, or why they feel the need to do it again

to be honest, i'd forgotten they had fought already. i would've thought Julio's work-rate would've been the difference.

but wasn't their first fight in England? this one is in Vegas if i'm not mistaken. don't under-estimate the effect that can have, both on Gonzalez and Woods. we'll see.

how was the first fight? i would've guessed a fight between them would be exciting.

the sad part is, this was apparent four years ago when he was manhandled by Tarver. But this being boxing, we constantly feel the need to try to resurrect the dead and sell the angle "so and so has one great fight left in him."

I'm happy for Glen, though i can't say I'm looking forward to a fourth Woods-Johnson fight.

Woods is always doing that. He fought that bogus Aussie twice, he fought Johnson thrice, he's fighting Gonzalez again now...he was going to fight Jones again but Jones got KTFO. Again.
