“I came up the hard way. I wasn’t one of those Olympians who had 300 amateur fights and fought in the Olympics. I was a kick-boxer who had 10 amateur fights. So, most of my boxing career has been on-the-job training. “On paper, I can see why Tarver’s people want to fight me. So, in that regard, I would not say they are making a mistake by fighting me. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid686960767/bclid686964172/bctid900480394
Always fear a man with nothing to lose!!! The guy has over 40 fights and Antonio is coming off a TKO loss. Tarver should win but this fight will go about 6 to 7 rounds. It's been a long road Elvir go out and let it rip!!!!
I know everyone hates Tarver, but Muriqi is simply bad. So far, Tarver's only lost to very good to excellent fighters, like Eric Harding (very good), Roy Jones (excellent) and Bernard Hopkins (very good). Muriqi isn't even good.
I wasn’t one of those Olympians who had 300 amateur fights and fought in the Olympics Oh, really...well...uh, what sort of an Olympian were you then??
wouldnt be really shocked if muriqi won this fight. tarver is inconsistent and only performs at his best when pushed against the wall. he probably thinks it's a gimme fight and will look like shit if not lose.
And Muriqi can whack, if little else. That said Tarver won't be able to miss Muriqi. Rocky Gannon has better D than Muriqi.
I would be shocked if Tarver loses to this guy, whom I respect as a good and crowd pleasing club fighter.
Thats about all Elvir was. Surprising then that a "big name trainer" like Atlas would have anything to do with him, though I hear Atlas make strange decisions anyways. AFAIK, if you are prepared to work your ass off in the gym, Teddy will train you.
