What kind of person is not only a Margarito fan.. BUT a Taylor fan as well. :notallthere:

Margarito is a mediocre fighter. Taylor is a great fighter. A few boxing fans actually like to watch good fighters.

 

:nono: Don't judge a book by it's cover, Margarito's style is unique and innovative, that's why he stumps, and trumps an entire text-book of his enemies.

I am shocked at the Pavlik love. The guy has no chin. I listened to Jaws argument about Miranda and he is wrong about Miranda. Miranda is not a huge puncher no matter what HBO says. Still, Pavlik is so chinny it is an insult to Chinny fighters. Pavlik hits harder, has more skill (but so does the average bowel movement), but even though Miranda isn't iron chinned compared to Pavlik he is Tua. This is one of those fight matchups that if these guys fought 10 times it would be 5-5. This is a pick 'em,, but you guys love you some Pavlik.

If the taller guy brawls with this guy like he says he is, he's getting KTFO early

 

i'm expecting Pavlik/Miranda to look somewhat like Trinidad/Mayorga. it will be more competitive than that, because Pavlik isn't as good as Trinidad, and Miranda appears to be a little better defensively than Mayorga, but stylistically, I think it's a similar mesh of strengths and weaknesses.

Now, if I'm wrong, then I'll have to acknowledge that Miranda is more skilled than I thought. And maybe he is.

Pavlik has been knocked down but I don't think that means he's chinny. Look at Tito. He got knocked down all the time as a welter-weight. Did he ever lose a fight there? Was he ever on queer street? This is Pavlik's chance to prove himself one way or the other.

 

Pavlik-Miranda is interesting because either guy could get KTFO.

Part of me thinks Pavlik will get Litzau'd. He's much better skillwise than Miranda, but he likes to in-fight. Miranda's wide with his shots and Pavlik doesn't do a great job of getting out of the way of punches. He'll get clubbed like a baby seal all night long. I don't recall Pavlik parrying or slipping many shots. he covers and drops down which gives Miranda the perfect spot to land his clubbing shots.

If Pavlik can establish a hard jab, Miranda will walk himself into a right hand. As long as Pavlik fights behind a stiff jab, he'll handle Miranda easily. You have to go with the straighter punching and better skilled guy but I'll go against the grain and go with Miranda by stoppage in a fight he was losing on the scorecards.

all i got to say is that its nice to see a match that I can get excited about...so far its 2 matches in less then a month that have grabbed my attention

im talking about Hoya vs Mayweather and now Miranda vs Pavlik

love watching power punching whiteboys in action..they make it more dramatic because they usually have glass jaws to go along with a big punch ::
