The NEXT Big STAR N Boxing is about to EXPLODE on the Scene...Better Jump on that Bandwagon NOW... Who's DOWN???...Who ISN'T??... REED:dunno:
Can I stay in the last wagon so I can jump easily to another wagon if tomorrow goes wrong?? I dunno, I don't trust a hick-looking boxer. :dunno:
Just So Ya'll Know,REED has Been Following Pavlik for QUITE Some Time...REED's Pavlik Fandom ISN'T some Newfound BULLSHIT:nono: ... He had 1 or 2 FNF(WNF/TNF) Fights that Grabbed REED's Attention,1 or 2 Sho-Box DESTRUCTIONS,a Couple IMPRESSIVE Showings on Versus,THEN the Nice Win Over Zertuche on HBO... It's NOT like Pavlik is UNproven to REED...Sure,Miranda WILL B The BEST,HARDEST PUNCHING Guy Pavlik has EVER Faced, but it's NOT like Kelly HASN'T Been Tested N the Least,Either.. Miranda is GREAT @ what he Does, but he's BASIC...Pavlik is a SKILLED Puncher... It WON'T B EASY for Pavlik, but he WILL WIN... WAR PAVLIK!!!... REED:blobbox:
I know REED has made favorable posts about Kelly in the past, and I think that if Edison shoots his bolt early as he is going to come in swinging for the fences with murder on every shot, if Kelly makes it past the first four rounds, he is going to give Edison a beatdown and TKO him as he is far the superior technician in there. Karl
Neither guy is very good. I like JT, but he is not a future great and he beats either of these guys with absolute ease. I just hope it is a good fight. I could never pick Pavlik. He is better technically and a much bigger puncher, but his chin is very, very bad. I would nver bet on Pavlik with his chin, never. Mierda is not good in any way. Together they should make fireworks unless Pavlik pulls an "Allen Green."
I've been a fan of Pavlik since 2001...but I really couldn't ever believe that he's going to be a 'star'. That said, I hope he beats Miranda down bad.
mE TOO. I love his style, but his chin is that bad. Miranda is no Tua either, but Pavlik has a terrible beard. I think he will at least come forward even if it is to get pulled out on a stretcher.
I certainly don't see Pavlik as a future star. Miranda is poor in a lot of areas, so Pavlik definitely has a chance to win tonight...but that won't make him a star and I don't see a lot of fights beyond this one that would make him one (maybe a fight with Duddy, that one would be exciting, and winnable...I don't think either is much of a threat to Taylor, so they might as well fight each other...it'd be like Gatti-Ward IV).
What makes you say Pavlik has a bad chin? If you ask me, Miranda seems to be the more "chinny" of the two.
agREED... REED Would Say Pavlik is More UNTESTED N the Chin Department than "Chinny"... Zertuche Landed some Good Shots & Pavlik Took them Well... REED hasn't Really seen Pavlik N w/a PUNCHER Yet...We'll Get some Answers N a Few Hours... Can't Wait!!... REED:cheer:
REED Never Saw that Fight... Was it a Balance Shot???...Was Pavlik GLASSY Eye'd???...Was he On the Canvas for Awhile??... Describe the Scenario,Por Favor???... REED
It was televised on Telefutura. Pretty good fight, lots of blood (eventually stopped on cuts). Zuniga's a good puncher; he hit Pavlik with a hook and he went down. It wasn't a balance shot, it was clean, but he didn't stay down that long...and he wasn't out on his feet or anything, but he was hurt by the punch.
I think Zuniga dropped him and some other club fighter had him out. His chin is bad. Trust me on this. Miranda is not a puncher though and not only that you can see what he does. Miranda is a skilless, chinny , unskilled version of Ricardo Mayorga and Pavlik is probably a little worse, but I hope he wins.
Did Zuniga Follow up on Pavlik or was he Toooooooo Respectful After Dropping him???... Did Pavlik Fight CAUTIOUSLY the Rest of the Round/Fight??... REED:dunno:
Pavlik has enough skills to box Miranda handily...and beat the sh*t out of him in the process. But he likes to engage. And that will quicken the fight, one way or the other. Miranda is just not that good - he never will be. He's this generation's Julian Jackson. Which means he's always capable of pulling off the upset but, just as easily, get KTFO. Once that happens, his bark won't be so loud.
That is an absurd comparison for many reasons. Julian actually had punching power whereas Mierda is above average. Second, Julian Jackson beat some decent fighters like Herol Graham, Terry Norris and even Frank Tate when Julian was dead shot. I expect more from you. I agree though Miranda is Mierda. He is a skilless, chinny, less powerful version of Mayorga.
I was thinking the same thing about the Jackson reference. Miranda hits nowhere NEAR as hard as Jules, and hasn't had any good wins either.
Doc, given the opportunity to fight the world's best middleweights, I believe it's possible Miranda could KO them or get KTFO. WHich is why I make that comparison. He hasn't accomplished sh*t, let alone what Jackson did. Your comment on his power being just hype intrigues me though. I have my questions about that as well but he certainly believes in it.
Um, but his power is nowhere near that of Jackson. He is a decent puncher, but not a 1 punch KO artist.
I think he is a good puncher, but not great. Not only that, you can see every shot coming. I don't believe he is a super puncher at all. I hope Pavlik mashes him, but Pavlik is a chinny, chinny guy. I would be surprised if he doesn't go down.
I'd like to see Pavlik win - his offense is nice and considering how aggressive he is, his defense isn't too shabby either. But he has the right style and wrong flaw to beat Miranda. If Miranda is merely a good puncher, can he take him out?
