Let's face it, the guy is a total bum, a journeymen at best, who's never won a fight against anyone worth of notice. I mean, Baldomir has a better resume than Taylor. Should Taylor's titles be taken away from him for gross incompetence in the ring?

Taylor twice beat one of the best MW Champions in history. Baldomir beat Gatti and Judah...

Taylor fought to a draw with one of the top rated P4P guys in the sport. Baldomir fought to a draw with Jose Luis Cruz..

Yep... Take his titles away because he's undefeated...

He lost twice to that guy

He lost to that guy as well
He also lost to Spinks. The guy's record in the last 5 fights is 1-4 and yet somehow he's still the champion? :dunno:

I heard Taylor crossed the Tex-Arkana border with a girl, and a heavy set of immoral intentions.

Could we Mann act the SOB??

Get Buford T Justice on the case.

    :nono: :nono: :nono:

Taylor is annoying and poor. But he's decent and honest and just happens to be running with a poor bunch {DiBella}. Lets leave him lose his titles the legitimate way.

Fraud should be stripped for quitting periodically through fights and failing to engage, running IS quitting, there is no shame in quitting if you fight hard until you have nothing left, but spreading it out across 12 entire rounds and running the clock out like a bitch should be made a strippable offense by way of disqualification. Just thought I'd add this in.

:nono: It's a hate thread, one of 60 active against Jermaine Taylor, filled with mostly frenzying Fraud fans who can't handle the fact that Jermaine has better victories than Fraud, therefore a better resume, and he is rightfully the descendant to the number 1 place on p4p lists,..when Roy Jones fell, Hopkins and Winky were twirling around each other for the top spot, Taylor took them on without a loss. What Jermaine is doing right now by bullying smaller opponents is that he's having himself a 'Fraud at 130' of a time, :dunno: he should be entitled to it, it's what made Fraud 'great'.

thing is, at 130, for the most part, PBF was at least taking on 130 pounders (although he did call out Hamed at one point).

Taylor is a big 160 pounder, a guy who could easily fight at 168 or 175, taking on 154 pounders!!! it's a joke. it's ruining his rep. and he needs to stop fighting to not lose, and fight to win.

i think nothing at this point would help taylor more than for him to lose. unfortunately, i think that's what it will take for him to realize his full potential.

thus far, he's been shown on three separate occasions that as long as he plays if safe he will win (or get a draw). he needs to lose. only then will he discover what it takes to win.

If he doesn't fight Pavlik next, he should be stripped of at least one of his titles

I will strip Taylor of his middleweight championship when he loses in the ring or when he moves up in weight.

The day Taylor is the P4P #1, is the day the sport has TRULY died.

:nono: Well if thats the case, we're all wearing cloaks and carrying scythes RIGHT NOW, so find a way to deal with it X, you become the man when you beat the man, a simple, irrefuteable, age old virtue still true in it's form. When Fraud became 'p4p4p4p4p4p4p by way of Boxingtalk, simultaneously pyning for Roy Jones, it was more like a Ku Dae ta,..over the top of rationale linear induction. :nono: So please,..

    shut up.

Floyd is undefeated, champion in 5 weight classes, has beaten among others...Corrales, Castillo, De La Hoya, Judah, Baldomir...

If he's not P4P, then nothing means anything.

^ I'm afraid realistically Castillo won more rounds in those 2 fights on aggregate,..-- Baldomir? & Judah?......... I guess there's no choice but for them to come as a pair, that's kinda sad, but I won't get into the complexities of his extensively oppurtune and padded resume,..Sly, I didn't say Fraud was NOT a 'p4p calibre' fighter, and I also didn't say his style was exciting and legal either,..I only indicated that he's not the angel ontop of the tree, Jermaine has slender, beaty little wings and until Fraud beats Mosely and Margarito consecutively, there's no need to even warrant him for consideration, not with a 'certain' golden embroidery that states "Hopkins" with the fine-print (Voted by fightbeat as a greater middleweight than Marvellous Marvin Hagler) in his portfolio,............and say, :crafty: wasn't it YOU who started that fundamentalist thread?.... I quite appreciate it.

A lot of good fighters have nothing but close fights. Look at Oscar de la Hoya or Emile Griffith. You could argue that many of their wins should have been losses, but at the same time, they were never shut out, and they were always competitive. He did pile up an early lead against Hopkins, which won him the first fight. When was the last time ANYONE built up an early lead against Hopkins? 1993?

He's supposed to have the WBC and WBO belts, if Pavlik-Miranda was a WBC elim, then thats the belt he should be stripped of if he don't want none of Kelly Pavlik

Well, my feeling is if the judges in the Hopkins and Wright fights had scored more closely along the lines of what actually happened in the ring, Taylor wouldn't be the champion right now.

I really can't see how Taylor won the Hopkins rematch. The margins in the rounds of that second fight weren't always big, but they were clear and distinct, IMO.

I thought the first fight was closer, but from the point of the rematch on Taylor's championship reign has seemed a bit debatable.

He's hardly Undisputed, now is he???

WBC...which he won't defend vs Pavlik, apparently...and WBO.

Any wonder the Yanks are desperate for Pavlik to be their shakermaker.

Taylor's the real champ. He beat Hopkins, who unified the four titles. Only a few idiots think otherwise.

You should forgive Ortho for his ignorance. He once claimed Quitaly is 3-time world champion by virtue of his defeat of Maskaev. When, as we all know, the only time Vitaly had balls to face Maskaev in the ring, he quit in less than 2 rounds.

How anyone thinks Hopkins won either fight with JT is beyond me, especially the first one. It is an unreasonable view. Hopkins gave away his titles with a non-effort after beating smaller welterweights and talentless hacks like Joppy and Eastman. Hopkins was terrified of JT and for no reason. Had he tried, he would have won.

Very good post, and a good point.

The answer is no, you can't change the rules because somebody has no balls and takes advantage of them, well at least you can't until they change the rules. I actually give JT credit because he easily could have lost to Spinks but he showed me more skill and speed than I thought he had. Sure he could have and should have taken more chances but I think he showed more than Spinks whose weight problems showed a possible lack of training his ass off for this fight.
