Jackson wasn't a big middle-weight. And he started at 154. So the fact that he was a huge puncher might not have disqualified him completely as a potential opponent for Taylor. But let's face it, if ever there were another Julian Jackson, Taylor ain't never gonna face him. But let's assume for a minute that DiBella is kid-napped and held captive in a ware-house somewhere, such that when the contract arrives from Julian's manager, Taylor is talked into signing and the fight gets made. Who wins? Does Taylor get KTFO? Or does Taylor, a big as hell middle-weight, knock Jackson out after some scary moments. Oh, and for the sake of argument, assume that DiBella is held prisoner for several months so the fight is allowed to go on.
Jackson can KO anyone if he hits them right. But in this fight he only has a punchers' chance. Taylor by KO or decision.
Jackson carried his power up to 160 pretty well, and Taylor was so flawed defensively that I think Jackson would catch him and lay him out. Jackson's chin wasn't the best but it wasn't terrible either. Taylor is not skilled and smart enough to get him in early trouble like McCallum did, and even the G-Man hit Jackson with some nice shots in the first 4 rounds before taking him out in 5 with a couple of perfect shots.
Taylor has his moment in the 2nd round, drops Jackson, and then he gets the Herol Graham treatment in the very same round.
Taylor's shaky chin and defensive flaws spell doom for him against Jackson. Jackson hits too hard and Taylor is too easy to hit.\ Jackson KO 5
