Join now while you still can. A lot of people erroneously base a matchup on the last performances of the two potential combatants, instead of looking at the entire picture. That's why nearly everyone picked Sonny Liston to KO Cassius Clay early.

Who here has the vision, to stand with The Sly One, and proclaim that Taylor will successfully defend his title against this brash young contender if ever they meet?

Taylor will use the experience that he's had in fighting boxing's BEST (Hopkins and Wright) as well as his naturaly physical gifts to thwart the plans of the slow punching, easy to hit Pavlik.

Join it now! There'll be no room later..

:cheer: Absolutely, my opinion hasn't changed based on last weekend's evidence, Jermaine Taylor (p4p number 1), would beat the fucking moth-balls out of stretch armstrong,.. Taylor schools the one dimensional, slow, plodding, sloppy, closet whisp,...he's a better athlete than Miranda with 50x the skills, and he always rises to the occasion, whipping Bernard and Winky's arse consecutively is evidence of this,..

Well Sly, I don't know about gifts, cause Taylor does not seem gifted to me... but he has seen better comp and his punches are straighter and I don't see him getting hit regularly by a guy like Pavlik.

Unfortunately Taylor could get his hand raised again. :dunno:

    I agree.
I don't think Lou will let Jermain anywhere near the kid.

I would definitely favor Pavlik in the fight by TKO.

I agree, he's too aggressive, hits too hard and Taylor doesn't have the workrate to out point him or the power to keep him off. Taylor would have to fight a stinker of a fight to win. He'd have to move a lot more than he's used to doing.

Taylor should move up and fight Joe. Its his best money fight, and Joe can't punch.

He will either do that or fight Duddy. I have no doubt he is going to avoid Pavlik.

    I dunno about that...

They let him near a Bernard Hopkins that hadn't lost in about 10 years..who had stopped both De La Hoya and Trinidad (the only man to do so), unified the division..beat all of the other middleweight contenders, pretenders and titlists.

If Taylor was so protected...they would have waited until Hopkins got beaten to step him up to a title fight!

In his 2nd defense he takes on Winky Wright who just HUMILIATED Trinidad and had previusly trouced Mosley twice.

What you say makes no sense, with all due respect (let's spar together some day...I want to see how good you are).

With the exception of Hopkins and Wright, who has Taylor fought that was a legit MW contender?

I'd pick Taylor to. It's a close fight though but I wasn't as impressed with Pavlik as most people here were. He did a fine job but was wide open, pretty slow and Miranda looked flat to me.

DiBella HATED Bernard,Remember???:dunno: ...He had No Qualms about Making that Fight...Bernard was Also what???...41 Years Old???

Besides that,Jermain HADN'T Had a "Money" Fight & Looked Virtually UNbeatable N All of his Other Bouts,PRE-Bernard...WHO ELSE Was there for Taylor to Fight,EXCEPT for Bernard @ that Time???...

    As for Winky,Yes,he's a GREAT Fighter,but let's NOT Pretend Fighters Go N the Ring "Fearing" Him:nono: ...

Taylor's Opposition SINCE Winky CLEARLY Spells Out 1 Word..."PROTECTED"

Instead of Miranda-Pavlik we SHOULD have Seen Taylor-Miranda...THAT was the Fight HBO Wanted...

Miranda looked like he always does, he gassed because the work Pavlik put in to the body early on. He was ripping some good shots to Mirandas body.

Don't get me wrong...Pavlik is a very good fighter. But he's slow, very hittable and I believe that Taylor is the type of fighter that raises his game to the level of competition.

Taylor will be so much faster than Pavlik it wont be funny.

And Don't get me wrong, I thought Pavlik put up a good performance but some people here are ready to give him the title without fighting for it (not literally but almost). The dude is likeable and all, but I'm not sold already. I'm happy he bashed Miranda though, I hate this dirty MFker but I thought he didn't look as solid as he usually looks, and that from the start of the fight.

I'd root for Pavlik to win but I have a feeling Jermaine is going to have a much easier time of it then we expect if they fight so put me on the bandwagon.

Pavlik will force Jermaine to fight and that will be a good thing for Taylor.

I've been saying for the longest, it would take a pressure fighter with pop and a sturdy chin to beat Taylor. Ouma and Wright pretty much confirmed that, even though they didn't have the power to take full advantage of Taylor not being able to fight off the backfoot to save his life. I have no doubt in my mind, Pavlik will implement a similar game plan to what he used for Miranda against Taylor. Yeah, Pavlik may be hittable, but so is Taylor and I'd be more concerned about how Taylor's chin holds up than vice versa. It's hard for me to imagine Taylor outpointing Pavlik given Pavlik's workrate and Taylor's suspect stamina. Therefore...

    Pavlik KTFO Taylor in 9

Okay seriously you people need to stop with the bodypunch myth. No fighter who is in great shape gets tired from 10 bodypunches in one or two rounds, otherwise Ricky Hatton and Jose Luis Castillo would be 50-0 with 50 KO´s. A great bodypunch can take out any fighter, especially a perfect liver shot or a perfect shot to the solar plexus, just like a perfect headshot can take any fighter out at any moment.

No, you people need to stop with the weight drained and weak bullshit. Pavlik is the only reason Miranda was beaten down.
