Anyone hear anything on this? I believe these guys are scheduled to fight in a week or so. Do you think MSG might show it (FSN)?

They should, these are the types of fights that need to be shown on basic t.v./cable. They need to put more fights like this on for more people to be able to watch.

While I would love it if MSG picked up this fight, the fact that someone is even thinking of it shows how well MSG has treated the fans recently.
These guys are about as unknown as you can get for top fighters and Cunningham is boring.

i know. it's a real shot in the dark. and probably too much to ask. but a meaningful and interesting match-up nontheless, and most importantly one involving a title and DK.

well, it's up to Cunnigham to beat him this time around. maybe then we'll be spared the trouble.

Damn......Cunningham doing Larry Merchant a favour.

Maybe they can just sit there and say something like "And the white guy goes down"

    Steve Kim would approve.

You can always call him Wlodarshit.

As for the topic: Be careful what you wish for, the first fight was horrible.

yeah, el diabolical and Cunningham probably won't make for a better fight second time around unless Cunningham stands his ground and backs up Wlodarczyk, otherwise its peck and move vs. occassional flurry again..

When was their first fight shown? Wasn't it a while (a few months?) after it occurred? I'm thinking it was also shown on MSG and the Urkal fight was part of the telecast.
Maybe I didn't see it on usa television?

I saw it via Internet stream, I think it was live. I don't remember it being on MSG. I do remember it being a complete stinker, though. For those who complain that Taylor-Spinks was boring (and it was), this was arguably worse.

yeah. Cunnigham is a definite stinker (not sure about the Polish guy). i saw Cunningham face Kelvin Davis (thanks to your generosity). and as aggressive and fierce as Davis can be, USS still managed to make it a stinker.

Just get the result online or read a PbP. It'll be more exciting, waiting to refresh every three minutes.

Yeah, first fight was stinky. Cunningham says he will try to put Wladarczyk away.

The pole isn't very good. Cunningham should have beaten him the first time around. If he doesn't then he'll have a tough road ahead of him as a fighter.

This fight won't be on MSG. That was a Don King thing. This fight is being promoted by Warriors Boxing and their co-promoter with the Pole. Secondsout.com did it last time around, and with their deal with Warriors, they should do it again, but there has not been any word on it.

Let's just hope Cunningham comes to fight this time. He's been talking all sorts of shit, so he better back it up.

Last time, m-fucker got clocked with a right hand in the opening minute of the first round and went into survival mode for the rest of the fight.

Bullshit, for one, Steve has NOT been talking all kinds of shit, for another you must not have seen the first fight or maybe you seen the stream and saw something that clearly didnt happen, Steve outboxed him for most of the fight however it was boring but he did win the fight in my opinion.

There is not an immediate rematch for nothing.

Chad Dawson OWNS 175 to 200,..there's really no other good fighter in this range, Mormeck turned out to be a bust,..

Boxing is all about 147 to 168. Fuck midgets, and fuck heavyweights, apart from perhaps Wlad who's always intruiging.

Steve didn't win the first fight on my card, nor those of about 60% of the people who I've spoke with who saw it.

He has a lot of work to do this time out. That said, @ the odds they're offering, I'm betting his spoiling ass.

Chinus may need to be contacted if Cunningham produces more stink, the odor is definitely not to be for TV

there's an immediate rematch because the IBF and the Polish commission (if there is one) forgot to tell them to take a piss after the fight.

The first fight wasn't unlike Taylor-Spinks - scores could've went either way, but such a boring fight that very few (outside of those who actually know Steve - meaning 15Rounds and its ex-staff members) argue the decision.

Unlike Cory, Steve is getting a second chance. Though also unlike Cory, Steve isn't getting 2-commas for his shot.

I don't remember much US media who actually watched the fight. Dan Rafael, me, the dudes at 15rounds, and you guys. I don't really know of anyone else. I can't do much else besides post here anymore anyway. I scored it for Cunningham 7-5 or 8-4.

Still, the fight wasn't any good. Neither fighter was any good. Hopefully the rematch will be better. I don't think the pole is very good, so it's all on Cunningham's shoulders to make the fight.

You're talking about his fight in vegas. He didn't go into survival mode...thats just how he fights. It's funny the way he describes the knockdown.

Also the us commentators and Glen Johnson was aboard also and all of them scored the fight for Steve and said it was a horrible decison and travesty.

It was on the American version which was not even broadcasted in America

that's pretty ridiculous, though. The only travesty was staying awake for 12 rounds to watch that garbage.

I do feel bad for Steve, though. He gets no love from King, gets shipped over there last year, is on the short end at the cards. only a mishandled (never occured) drug test paves the way for a rematch - in which King once again makes no effort to win the right to promote the fight. and once again, Steve is sent off to Poland in a rematch to a fight that nobody gaves - or still gives- a flying fuck about
