Martinez is fighting on the Briggs/Ibragimov under-card.

What are everyone's thoughts on him? How long before he gets a title? Who should he steer clear of at 118? Is he as good as he looks? Weaknesses? Strengths? Who should he go after?

Does anyone know? Is he still fighting on the Briggs under-card or not? According to Max's schedule, he is not.

    Payton, do you know?

:bears: Looking forward to the spectacular Briggs KO, Shannon's a bit crude, but he can clear credit like no other, he's by wicked whisp the hardest gristle buster in the business. He also proved that he's got a bit of a :crafty: sinister septor late in a fight to say the least, elbow deep in the grim reapers hive, and priviliged to carry the bitey bat motherfucker in the daytime like an ice-cream, and for that reason the white-wolf, although he absorbed Brewster's full brunt of puff and dust to the crate and cage like a dawn gym-horse, SHANNON, as a gauge of comparitive rasta blasta', spent 12 rounds suffercating like a fucked fish, he slots Liahkovich with just two single spanner rattles and turns him into a precious commodity for a bit of a chin wagging, necromancing romancing, the big dregged bazooka wings, then SMASHED his humiliated arse over a lance, and had him in a grimacing arch where the eyes and leers of spectators deep fried his dignity,..:crafty: !!!..it was glorious, expect the same to happen to the orc scotsman,..you'll enjoy this fight as much as I will Illuminati..:crafty:

    Yep...

His Reenactment of the Fight was MUCH BETTER than the Actual Bout Itself...

Martinez is fighting this weekend, I think he goes up against some .500 cat, not sure if it will be aired on PPV. I like him, but believe that he will fall just short of living up to the ridiculously high standards his promoters hold him up to.

Main Events has a bad habit of putting their kids on a pedestal, and expecting them to receive unwarranted shine w/o ever facing anyone (Joel Julio Rafael and Jason Shitzau their two most recent examples). Martinez has a couple of gutty wins already, including his lone ShoBox appearance last year, and appears to be the goods.

He's a rare bantamweight/lower weight fighter that can box, brawl, and take a punch, so he'll have no problems garnering TV time. It's just a matter of how fast or slow he's moved - too fast and he gets lit up because he still needs work on defense. Too slow and he gets too used to the bum circuit. By the end of the year he should be gradually working toward Top 20ish contenders, then next year progressing toward Top 10.
