Luis Perez is fast becoming a one-hit wonder. Since beating Machado, he's done almost nothing except lose to Kirilov.

calzaghe's longevity speaks for itself and also has beaten other top 5 contenders such as Brewer, Mitchell, and Reid. Even Bika could be considered top 10-15 and Manfredo has improved since that garbage show.

calzaghe right now is considered one of the best if not the best super middle of all time. calling him a one-hit wonder is a bold statement.

the guy is unbeaten in forty some fights and is a future hall of famer.

    Montell Griffin (Jones)
Willy Salazar (Romero) (biggest upset I know of)
    Rolando Pascua (Chiquita)
Nobuo Nashiro (Castillo) (he could leave the list easily enough)
Lyakhovich (Brewster) (he could leave the list)
    Corrie Sanders (Wlad)
    Alejandro Gonzalez (Kelly)

Not sure how big of a deal Ebo Elder's win over Courtney Burton is to others but it sure blew me away. I saw Burton handling him easy. Elder hasn't done shit since.

he beat starling twice and those weren't even his biggest win.

I agree that Curry doesn't belong here. He had a nice run of good wins.

However I disagree that he beat Marlon twice, despite what the official scorecards said. I had Starling winning the first fight.

I was a huge Marlon fan and I don't remember thinking either fight should have gone his way. I also remember the 2nd fight being closer, though admittedly it's been a long time since I've seen them.

Marlon had a frustrating habit of pissing away rounds he should have won by showboating or dancing around the ring. He was a more talented version of Emmanuel Augustus.

Oh well, I scored it for Marlon. :dunno:

I like both fighters...Curry a little more though.

i agree that Calzaghe, next to some of the ones we've listed, is definitely out of place. but he's still a chunk.

Jesse James Leija - the rematch with Azumah Nelson
    Gabe Ruelas - vs. Leija
Vince Phillips - the win over Tszyu (this one may be debatable)

 Phillips is arguable, but Leija (who beat Nelson three times) and Ruelas (who also beat Nelson) aren't?

    Makes no sense.
