judah has a better chance than strictly an early knockout. he should be up for this fight so I will discount his showings vs piñeda and baldomir when predicting how he will do here.

Adversity depends on when Cotto is able to flick the switch, one hurtful prod to the body is enough to make Judah's brain evapourate, and turn him into a mechanical rabbit. That 'hurty' one could land within the first 15 seconds of the fight :nono: then it's all about hand and eye coordination like butterfly hunting, Kostya as you know, had a straight right like a frog's tongue, Cotto should take a little longer, though win every round more or less. Don't allow the overlay set from the embarrasing promotional duties required for Judah - Fraud last year to effect your honest judgement, it's in the past, Fraud got away with it, let us NOW be 'sure' that this is NOT a 'superfight',...:nono: you won't be contradicting previous statements because Judah was only a 1 time loser back then, not a 2 time loser.

he also knocked PBF down. and stopped Rivera in 2 rounds - and Rivera went 10 with Julio. Also, he stunned Tszyu in the first round, tamed Ward with his power, hurt Spinks badly in both fights. the guy can't go 12 for real. he has no discipline. and he can't pace himself. but he can punch. no doubt about it. that's the only thing that makes this fight the least bit competitive. still, Cotto wins for sure. and dominates the second half of the fight.

Zab has a good shot at hurting/KTFO Cotto, and Cotto has a good shot at hurting/KTFO Zab, thats what makes this fight one to watch, I'm going to guarantee it wont go 12 rounds, someone is getting stopped or out cold on a stretcher

Unless cuts occur due to headbutts

I think that Zab has a real good chance to win. Now do I think that he will hell naw. However it depends on how well Cotto can adjust to Zab's speed. If he can't get the timing down and do the things that he likes to do and that is go to the body then he will lose. However with athletics being 90% mental and 10% physical there is no way Zab wins. I'll Holla 5000

A full 3/4th of this post is hyperbole. Stunned Zoo? regarding Floyd, the Knockdown was legit but barely... it was mostly a slip that technically was a knockout, Floyd was trying to not slip most of the knockdown.

But we're talking about Zab not having a chance in this fight. The point of the thread is whether or not Zab has a shot of winning. If we want to talk about all of the reasons why Cotto is rightfully favored in this fight, then go ahead and bring up Zab's chinny past and everything else.

The simple point I am trying to make is that Cotto HAS struggled in the past with fighters who are inferior to Judah. And that the VERY things that bothered Cotto (however fleeting those moments may have been in your view) are things that Judah does WELL.

Judah fires straight, sharp punches- and from the southpaw stance. Cotto comes in with very little head movement and can be timed by experienced fighters. He also can be predictable at times, leaving him suceptible to counter shots.

Cotto does dozens of things really well, and that is why he is favored in the fight and SHOULD win it.

But again, that is not the point of the thread. Cotto's history means that Judah cannot be counted out in this fight.

Well, he stunned Zoo with a huge uppercut and Floyd fell after the impact of a good punch, it was not a slip IMO. :notallthere::lol:

I give him a good chance, especially early on. He's got the speed and power to give Cotto a hard time. I just dunno if he can keep it up. I think Cotto is the bigger, stronger guy, he's intelligent in there too....he'll gradually get to grips with Judah's style.

All points taken. It just seemed like you were taking issue with those who claim that Cotto is physically stronger at 147 than he was when starving himself to make 140. I just think Cotto being chinny is greatly exaggerated, yet that theme began to trickle through this thread.

I agree that Zab shouldn't be completely dismissed. Just that he has a much greater chance early than late. And if early is a 50/50 chance, then perhaps Free Ike's claim of Zab having a 25% chance proves to be spot on.

It will be a rough fight early....anyone who doesn't think so is just a cotto hater...they go on and on about how COTTO will easily KO Judah...how Judah is garbage this and that...Judah is shit...ANOTHER easy fight for Cotto..blah..blah...

that way if Cotto struggles with Judah they(the haters) can say ohhh see Cotto sucks, he struggle with Judah, ohh he sucks.

Watch the replay two things were obvious:

    1) It was technically a knock down as it unbalanced Floyd and his glove hit the ground.

    2) Floyd spent most of the sequence unaffected by the punch and very concerned about not slipping. The effects of the punch were magnified tremendously by a slip and were negliable.
